Welcoming new member into the royal guards

Pitou:

VERY VERY VERY excited !!

New member = new friends = more people to dominate the world with >:)))

I think Pitou really loves meeting new people (who don’t possess a threat to the king), so they’re very open when they’re first introduced as the new guard Pitoua is very excited

Voluntarily takes them under their wing to kind of teach them the basics that come with this very important and serious job, and may even cover for them sometimes if they make a mistake

Boasts about them a lot !! Whenever the newbie does something (even if it’s the smallest gestures) Pitou wisl be very very proud and go around telling everyone of their achievements

Shaiapouf:

Suspicious of them at first LOLOL

He’s just very protective of the king who can blame him??

He’s constantly watching them the first couple of weeks,, seeing if they’re suspicious in any way, if they’re doing the job right, if they’re secretly sneaking off to report things to the enemy

Won’t actually voice his concerns to anyone though, he has to confirm his suspicions first

And of course there was nothing to expose !! And he just thinks ‘damn all that work for nothing adjkhf’

It’s okay Pouf you basically did a very thorough background check it was worth it 

Meruem:

Doesn’t really react :///

When he meets them for the first time he’s kind of stoic and just gives a very quick welcome, leaving the room after to do other things

The fact that they are one of his royal guards just means that he trusts them to know what they’re doing and he knows how they are a more fit candidate than others

He’s also not very suspicious of them like Pouf is because he knows that he’s the strongest out of the group and that he can fight for himself

I think he’ll maybe tell Pouf or Youpi to mentor them for a while (but then Pitou steals the job hehe)

Also I don’t think they’ll see him around very often, as the newbie of the group, they’ll be doing the small tasks that the others are too lazy to do

It’s never a boring time with them

Somehow they just know what’s happening with everyone constantly, so that means they sometimes get their hands on some juicy info hehe

They wouldn’t really convey their gratitude to have you as a best friend on a daily, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THEY AREN’T

I just think Pitou and you have this mutual understanding that you two are very important to each other, but it’s never actually put into words

Pitou would bring you to the most weird hangout places

Top of a tree, top of a tower, top of a mountain, you name it, they’re bringing you there

I think Pitou would bring you a lot of gifts !!

Whether that be buying someone they think you’d like for no particular reason, or giving you a pretty rock, you’ll be getting lots of gifts from them

Anything that reminded Pitou of you, expect to be getting that as a gift

I could be wrong, but I think what the royal guards anon was trying to say was that, since the king is dead, the reader made a joke to the royal guards about making the next generation of ants (to see their reactions).

The king is dead :( and they’re still mourning his death because,, what are they doing to do now? Where are they going to go?

What’s going to happen to their species as a whole?

All hell is probably going to break loose and they’re very worried 

But then you stroll along one day with a very funny idea and you’re like ‘hey GUYS I know what we should do now’

They all turn to you immediately because they’re just that desperate for a solution

Then you tell them that you’ll help them repopulate and they are ...... well, very mixed reactions

Pitou laughed, they genuinely think that you’re joke was funny and they were able to catch on right away

Pouf is CONFUSED. 

He took a joke a little bit too seriously and now he’s thinking about how the entire process is going to work, when are you planning to start this process? Where are you going to stay during then? Will you be able to replace the King’s duties?

Youpi got the joke but he is NOT laughing at all

He is a very critical thinker, and your joke does not help ease this situation at all, he just pretends like he didn’t hear anything

You didn’t really solve their problems but at least Pitou enjoyed the joke right??

They’re not necessarily threatened by you, but they’re going to be keeping an eye on you

It’s just that they’re aware of your abilities so if you turn out to be a traitor everything is going to be so much more chaotic

Pitou’s acting VERY suspicious the whole time,, they’re acting friendly and stuff but there’s a tension whenever you two talk and you can’t tell if Pitou is planning to ambush you or not

Youpi’s very laid back and doesn’t really care -- he has a lot of faith in his own abilities if you ever do turn their backs on them Youpi believes that he’ll be able to stop you

Doesn’t go out of his way to act friendly, but he’s not rude either

It’s just a very neutral relationship between you two

Maybe he’ll sometimes ask you about what life was like when you were in the Troupe -- you’d think he’s asking because he wants to have some dirt on you but he’s really genuinely curious about it

Pouf is VERY on guard

Don’t talk to him for the first few days because he WILL analyze every single word you tell him and overreact

Pouf is probably the most suspicious of you but he doesn’t act rude towards you

He just acts more distant

Honestly Pouf is kind of all over the place with this new situation
