oh so sneakily pushes carrots onto his brother's plate
UPON HIS RETURN TO THEIR PRIVATE CORNER , TWO TANKARDS IN HAND , the outlaw pauses . A notable lack of orange debris on Joshua's plate struck Clive as entirely uncharacteristic for the young man . A level of absurdity that could only be compared to flying chocobos , or magical frost wolves . The First Shield could only hope , like the second absurdity , this development would prove equally as true . His little brother , at long last , eating his carrots after twenty-eight stubborn years .
Doubt continued to plague the elder , wisdom insisting that the truth was not so forthcoming . The mound of vegetables on his own plate seemed suspiciously higher than before. ❛ Joshua, ❜ chides Clive, a critical pop of his eyebrow aimed at the young man . Despite his clear opposition , Clive merely sighs , folding under imperceptible pressure . After all , there had once been a time when Clive would eat the damned vegetables for him without hesitation . It had been an established ritual between the two brothers . A stealthy operation - of which their mother and father were most certainly aware - to ensure the younger could leave the table with an empty plate . With little prompting , the sense of duty fondly returned to him twenty years later . And so , the older brother merely resumes his seat to begin picking away at the generous portion of carrots before him . Crystal blues regard Joshua knowingly , a vague warning within them : it won't be so easy next time .
