Felicity was about to rip her hair out. She couldn't remember a day when the restaurant was /this/ slow. She had cleaned every table twice and wiped the counter more times than the poor girl could bear. When the bell above the door did ring, she turned with a smile. Elise was distraught to discover that the servants accompanying her on her trip had left to wander about the town. She was starving, and all that was there to eat was food at a commoner’s restaurant. If she got food poisoning, she was going to give her servants a very good talking to.
Not being used to the humor of peasants, it took her a while to register that the waitress was making a joke.
"Hm, well, I suppose that’s okay since my dress is worth far more than you’ll ever afford." She attempted to joke, but it turned out to be more of a gloat. "Now, how do I order this peasant food?"
