What's your most cat like trait(s)?

I think mine is the way I show affection or relax. I love rubing myself up against someone to show affection and I love being a bit of a menace towards my parter. When I'm relaxing I use my soft blanket and pretend it's my fur and cuddle into myself. I also find my excessive daytime napping species affirming. I've also been obsessed with seafood since I was younger. My favorite would have to be crab and fried catfish.

Catgirls? Nah! Catboys? Nah! Nyanbinaries? Close!!

Instead consider this: Catpeople, Felinefolk, etc. are all aesthetically androgynous with no way to really determine gender without looking directly at their genitals due to a general lack in secondary sexual characteristics (atleast when viewed by human senses).

Exceptions include but are not limited to:

Calicos are presumed to be catgirls, or AFAB

Orange tabbies are presumed to be catboys, or AMAB

Lionfolk do exhibit secondary sexual characteristics (masculine manes), but can easily remove said sexual characteristics to appear androgynous.

Notes:

Catpeople is the term generally used to describe Felinae Sapiens in particular but both Felinae and Pantherinae Sapiens have grown used to that being an unofficial blanket term.

But Felinefolk is the established blanket term for both Felinae and Pantherinae Sapiens as broad, generalized group of upright walking feline humanoids.

Cheetahfolk and Cougarfolk are the largest members of Felinae Sapiens and are thus confused with Pantherinae Sapiens

“Hybrid” Pantherinae Sapiens are both externally referred to and self-identify as their corresponding hybrid name.

“Hybrid” Felinae Sapiens don’t worry about notions of “hybrids” as no-one, not even themselves, can tell the difference after a couple generations and are more than comfortable being called Catpeople.

Regarding Nekos vs. Felinefolk:

Felinefolk are upright walking, fur covered humanoids with variable heights, musculatures, and general builds but with features present in felines including being digitigrade walkers and having paw-like hands.

Nekos are demihumans with feline eyes; ears; long slender tails; increased flexibility and speed compared to humans; and hairless/furless bodies heavily reminiscent of humans including being plantigrade walkers and “normal” hands. It is also possible for Nekos to be the offspring of humans and Felinae Sapiens due to the above similarities aligning closer with them being “human + ‘features’“ rather than being a unique ‘folk like felinefolk and caninefolk.

I love that there's a ton of livestreams and hour long videos on youtube from aquariums.

I really like watching fish, makes my cat brain happy and is kind of relaxing too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a lowkey cat activity~
