Hale and I are friend so when we did our first love scene, especially the part where he flip me off in the doggie position, they yell “cut” and we just burst out laughing.

FEN AND ELIOT FACE OMG
I think that that sort of opens something up in Eliot. While she’s not someone who he would have picked for himself, ever, even for just a one night stand, she’s someone who continues to open him up in really surprising ways.

In terms of finding out Eliot is part of the LGBTQ community, I don't think that particular fact has effected Fen, because in Fillory, they are used to people having a husband and a wife. I think it's more Eliot's (understandably) unrequited feelings that have effected Fen. But they have a mutual respect and love for each other now. And I think going through the journey of initially feeling unwanted and then coming out the other end and finding a true friend and ally in a way she wasn't expecting has built Fen's character and value in herself. She accepted that Eliot would never love her in the way she originally thought she needed and realized that it would be wrong to control another person's feelings and also that another person's feelings don't reflect who you are
