● OH SINNERS, LET’S GO DOWN;
Even as a child Felix Fitzgerald could talk himself out of any situation. He was a smooth little boy who charmed many an adult woman with his clear blue eyes. A little angel is what people called him. Though an angel he may have looked like he was anything but. He was in fact quite the heathen. His mother never made him mind, and his poor father, the mayor of Barton Hollow, tried his best to discipline Felix but to no avail. The boy had a wild streak in him that could not simply be tamed. By the time he hit his teenage years, he was charming young girls right and left and breaking hearts by the multitudes. The mayor’s son, with his brooding good looks and charms, was now the most wanted boy in Barton Hollow. His ego was inflated, and his mother didn’t help any matters. Marilyn Fitzgerald told her son that he was a winner, every girl’s dream, and he certainly believed her every word.
He was shocked when the town’s good girl, Gillian Beckett asked him to be her escort for cotillion. He thought she was a nice girl, sweet, but overall not the type of girl who could give him what he wanted. He accepted because he thought it’d be a bit of fun. At cotillion things were going fine until he spotted Gillian’s older sister, Rosemary, and wooed her. The two wound up having sex in the girl’s bathroom but were caught by Gillian herself. The devastated young girl punched Felix, breaking his nose and deviating his septum. That was the last time he would ever do wrong by Gillian Beckett, but he has still not learned his lesson, even after needing surgery to fix his nose. The cunning boy went off to law school, leaving the town and the whispers of the cotillion accident behind. However, you can’t run away from a story that is told to boys every cotillion season as a cautionary tale. He will forever be known as the boy Gillian Beckett punched at cotillion.
After law school Felix came back home and decided to see if he could get a job at the local law firm, Miles and Proctor. Since he left, Rosemary married Gideon Miles and Gillian went to work at the law office. Gideon, being the king of bad decisions, hired Felix to work as an associate lawyer at the firm, thinking that the cotillion incident was water under the bridge. He became aware of a very grown up Gillian, who looked like a new possible conquest for him, but she refused to give him the time of day. As the months passed, it became evident that the least of his worries were Gillian hating him and not giving into his charming seductive ways. He lost his father in a brutal and still unsolved murder and began to notice that there was something changing within him. The days that he went without sex he felt tired and irritable beyond belief, and nothing seemed to help. Sometimes it would get unbearable to the point that he would black out at work and have to go to the doctor. Marilyn finally told her son what he was becoming and what she was.
● DOWN TO THE RIVER TO PRAY;
Felix is trying to maneuver his new transition into the life of an incubus, but it’s not been an easy one. He’s learning his limits and how much life force he can take from a person during intercourse. His lessons have come with dilemmas and a couple of dead one night stands that were a complete accident. Felix feels like the confident part of his is starting to wane, and he is becoming more agitated at the life that has been thrust upon him. He can remember when sex used to be for fun, but now it’s almost purely a survival measure. He wonders if in the process he will eventually forfeit his sanity and all that he is. He wants to reach out to his mother, but he’s not sure he can trust her due to having suspicions of his own surrounding her and his father’s death.
● ALL OF BARTON HOLLOW KNOWS;
Rosemary Beckett and Felix hooked up a time or two, infamously so at cotillion. Gillian Beckett asked Felix to escort her to cotillion, which he did, but he messed it up by sleeping with her sister that night; he has since realized the error of his ways and is infatuated her. However, Gillian wants no part of him. Gideon Miles and Samuel Proctor are Felix’s employers; Gideon now knows he made a mistake hiring him while Samuel has known this all along. Felix has been recently looking to Hollis Pierce for a quick snack so to speak, and she’s always happy to help. Orson Sims is not too fond of Felix, especially since seeing him around with Hollis.
