“Oh, come on!”
Bernadetta was glad that nobody had scolded her about the hoodie she wore under her uniform jacket. The rain was probably the lightest it had been in a while since the flooding had started, and her hood was a small comfort against the light drizzle falling onto her head. It didn’t help much for convincing this cow to move into shelter with her.
Bernadetta pouted, shuffling the rope they’d gotten around the cow from one hand to the other. The animal had little interest in moving, no matter what she’d done to try and convince it. She doubted she had the brute strength needed to simply tug the animal along but...well, she was running out of choices.
With a determined breath, Bernadetta took hold of the rope firmly and pulled as hard as she could. The animal didn’t budge, even as her feet started to slide on the muddy ground “Please move! I just wanna help!” Suddenly, the animal did start to move.
To another grassy patch in the opposite direction from where Bernie wanted to go.
With a shriek, the girl slipped, landing hard on her back on the muddy floor. “Ow...” Defeated, Bernie continued to pout, staring up at the sky. “Maybe I should just sink into the mud and stay here...”

Missed me missed me now ya gotta-
Bernadetta would’ve been embarrassed about the squawking sound that came out of her mouth upon noticing the cursed plant if she wasn’t already embarrassed about being caught under the cursed plant in the first place. And with Felix! Felix who was scary and mean and probably hated her for even breathing too loudly in the same room as him when she couldn’t even look at him without screaming and running away in terror-
“I, um...” Her face was so red, she knew it. She could feel her cheeks burning. Oh goddess what if her father found out what she was doing. No one would want to marry a harlot! “I’m so sorry, I should’ve stayed in my room so you wouldn’t be stuck here with me! This is all my fault I...”
It was tradition. It was tradition, right? Was it bad luck to not follow tradition? Oh god, she couldn’t curse them both with bad luck! Overcome with panic and dread, Bernie hopped onto her toes and kissed Felix quickly before turning tail and storming away before he had the chance to run her through with his sword. “I’m sorry!”

Meet Cute/Ugly Meme
It had only been a day since Linhardt arrived at the monastery and he was already exhausted. Even though he already knew most of his house mates, they seemed more pompous than they were before. One of them, who shall remain nameless, kept challenging his house leader to a ‘honorable duel’. Linhardt couldn’t even find peace with Caspar as he was dragged to the training grounds to watch his friend show off against the other students.
It was such a bore and he couldn’t sleep due to the grunts of the training students. As he idly gazed around his eye caught a brief flash of light.
A crest! Now this was more up Linhardt’s alley. He closely watched the student with curiosity as he knocked the training sword out of his unexpecting opponent’s hands. The sword landed right by where Linhardt was lounging.
Linhardt got up to go return the sword to the flabbergasted student but as he reached down to grab it he noticed the student with the crest also reached for it.
“Oh, I’m sorry... I’m Linhardt... your crest is interesting, I’ll add you to my list of test subjects,”
🐠 to go looking for wildlife in the surf with my muse
Bernadetta frowned down at her feet. The ocean was different from the rivers she’d waded in when she was younger. It felt like if she stood still too long, she would sink into the sand and never come back. Even now, she had to remember to wiggle her toes as sand found a way to creep into every place it could.
“...are you sure this is safe?” She asks, looking over at Felix. He was as frowny and scary looking as ever, but something about his scowl while the skies were blue and the waves were crashing against them made it a little less scarier than normal.
“I-I don’t know how to swim, you know! If I fall, that’s definitely the end of Bernie!” Would Felix try to help her if that happened? She hoped so, but she wouldn’t be surprise if that really was the end of Bernie, washed out to see forever.
Walking in the water was weird too. It was so much harder than she had expected. Still, keeping her gaze on her feet and stepping carefully, Bernadetta made her way over to where Felix was standing. “...Are there really fish this close to the land?”
Have a Felix or a Dedue or both! -- strengthoflions

It was her turn in the kitchen again, but fortunately for the sake of dinner, Annette was not alone in her duties. Dedue had promised to help her. If nothing else he kept her on track so something didn’t boil over or catch fire or explode. Miraculously everything was done on time.
“We did it, Dedue!” Annette exclaimed, clapping her hands together. “And on time without any huge messes!” With one of her usual displays of cheerful enthusiasm, she jumped up on a nearby step stool to wrap her arms around his shoulders and press a kiss to his cheek.
“And it’s all thanks to you!”
—
He had said he liked kissing her. Annette couldn’t help but feel a slight warm glow whenever she thought about it. Granted Felix didn’t take the opportunity very often but given the state of things, she couldn’t blame him for that. And she had failed the last time she had tried to initiate, earning her some well deserved teasing.
She hadn’t meant to headbutt him. At least she learned from her mistakes.
Mostly.
It had taken her a little while to get over the embarrassment for her to act again. Perhaps she was just feeling a bit lonely tonight, tired from the constant emotional drain war caused. Either way she couldn’t help but call out to Felix as he passed by, likely on his way to his own room from the training grounds.
“Felix, could you come here for a minute?” She reached out to take his hand, drawing him into her room’s doorway. Her lips pressed a kiss to his cheek, lingering for just a few moments. Her tone was tired but sunny. “I just wanted a kiss goodnight.”
Hey, Annie, I heard that Felix prefers to train shirtless~
“I think you’re lying.” Not that she would object...
Felix's ever-present frown plastered on his face, he offered out a neatly-bound book, golden lettering scrawled neatly on the front simply reading "Tales." It had been sent to him by his father, but he had no desire to read it. He hadn't even opened it to see what it was about. "Someone said you might want this."
Bernadetta believed she was alone in the greenhouse, using that opportunity to work on one of her embroidery projects. From the progress she was making, she seemed to be making a small lion, but it wasn’t being presented in a fearsome fashion. Instead, this lion had a cute smile. She was working on the mane when Felix found her, humming to herself, lost in her project. However, when Felix stood before her, gazing at Bernadetta with his signature scowl, she yelped, dropping her needle, thread, and half-finished lion. Luckily, her skirt caught the fallen items. Tensing up, she brought her hands to her chest.
“Ah! Felix! You didn’t hear any of that, did you?!”
