Felix’s strategy was sound, hit first and hit hard. It didn’t matter to him which weapon he was up against, and he wanted to see Ferdinand fight to the best of his ability. He still wouldn’t be fully satisfied after a victory against him like this, but it’d be enough to tide his blade over for now.
“Interesting that you’d say that, because I don’t fight for anything other than myself. I’m wondering if I’d look cooler seperated from the strike force,” He stated coldly. Teasing at treachory was a tactic he’d adopted since he’d first switched classes to keep his allies at arm’s distance. It was as Ferdinand stated, actions were what was important, and he never gave anyone true reason to doubt his loyalty - but he let the idea hang in the atmosphere, to warn them away from him - or in this case, to provoke Edelgard’s trusted comrade into punishing him for the suggestion.
“I don’t care for glory, but it’d make for some interesting folk tales, wouldn’t you say?”
