btw in my fem!Phoenix AU where she's spiritually sensitive, she can't really channel any spirits (without a whole lot of training) EXCEPT Kazuma when she's holding Karuma because his soul clings onto his family blade and he can't really play with his sword while dead so he just uses sheer stubbornness to get back into the realm of the living. So sometimes Phoenix just has some sick sword skills.
