Part 2 to my Fem! Attorneys (check part 1 for more lore explanations and sillies and feminist commentary etc.). I think everyone's too afraid to make them girl losers so I am here to fix it <3
#i like how these turned out but can I real talk 4 a moment#I think there is too much moral greyness of a genderbend for me to feel great about drawing it#to “swap” a gender you risk promoting gender norms and the gender binary#and no male character who swapped would be the exact same bc they would have naturally experienced life differently#due to sexism and different gendered expectations for women and such#and I think that to just magically poof characters to another gender risks erasing trans experiences and that's something to unpack#i don't think it's evil to do. I just think you need to be very delicate with it and think through your assumptions#so I am very aware of all of that! I just wanted to be really self indulgent and project my lived experiences 4 humor reasons#and I specifically am into these lawyers' dynamic right now#and i am not immune to beautiful women also so. here we are#i think maybe it's ok if I draw genderbends if I support trans women loudly in exchange. Like if I venmoed my sister every time maybe#reparations........ (I'm being lighthearted here)#I love the canon ace attorney women too! they're just all babies in my eyes I can't find them beautiful... they're 18...#I'd be really into Callisto Yew if I ever forced myself to sit through investigations. Maybe someday#UM but anyway......
