Fantastic time being a woman:
I'm 8 days late for my period and despite not being "active" for a long, long, LONG time, I'm now worried that I've somehow managed to immaculately conceive a damn baby.
Life is tough, my darling, but so are you

So, I have male/non-binary/people who just don’t wanna see this and I get it, and this might be something like “Oh no, it’s female stuff!”, so I’ll just leave it under the cut.
So for... reasons, I had to change my gynaecologist.
Reasons were: I would probably be better off without her, no offence intended. This woman has been on top of a minor girls counselling centre for years and this seriously clouded her judgement when it comes to ‘adult’ patients (it’s not totally on her, but I recall clearly being asked to ‘prove’ my virginity, only to have a very baffled gyn on my hands when it was pretty clear I still was back in the day).
So anyway, I had to change my gyn and since I’ve joined an all-female language class, with people who live close to where I live, I thought I’d ask for references.
It was like hell had come and I was the Grim Reaper.
I kid you not, in my group there are grown up women who do aerial sports, special needs teachers who’ll just shrug at bloodbaths in a classroom and here they were, tittering and cringing because “Well, none of us has actually access and the free ones are usually incompetent or dicks” (mine being in the second group, while not being a dick).
One of them straight up said she ignores the pain and the discomfort but she is not going to see a gynaecologist, another laughed nervously confirming her last checkup was within her 21st year of life (counselling centres offer free care for minors or people under 21) and she hasn’t even tried since.
And I’m just about ready to cry that even when healthcare is generally free, you’re still going to have to pay $100+ to get some decent check up. And that if I didn’t need this, I would straight up ignore checkups too, in order to avoid another visit.

Period has been wreaking havoc on me this time. I’ve had a lot of anxiety, and that’s not like me. Sorry if this post is TMI, but I feel like something is off. Usually the day before or night before I get my period, I have a migraine, however; this time I had two migraines within the first 24 hours.
The blood itself isn’t how it normally is. Usually you can tell when it’s lining shedding or when it’s fresh blood. Fresh blood has no “gooeyness” to it while lining will. Kinda like snot lol. Anyways, I’ve been passing clots the size of golf balls and the blood is extremely fresh. Every time I clean myself up, it looks like I got shot or something...
I’m beginning to think something deeper is going on. Could be all the working out I’m doing. I’ve been eating less and less since I’ve arrived to California. I did take note that when I do take my Vit. D, my periods are ten times worse than we I don’t take it.
Guess I really need to see a doctor to rule out if there’s a hormone imbalance or if it could be a thyroid issue >.>
//I could have been feeling better by now if the lab hadn't neglected to run one of the tests my endocrinologist ordered but they did so here I am dizzy and miserable at that time of the month again because I had to get another blood test before starting my prescription that's hopefully going to finally cure it after 10+ years of this several months a year 😭😓 But man will I be relieved if it works!
