With the first day of school quickly advancing, teams and clubs were starting to put their members back to work. After all, especially in sports, practice made perfect and there was no way anyone could succeed without their coaches kicking them back into shape.

The cheerleading squad was no exception.

As usual, the practices were rigorous and exhausting, leaving the girl (and Buck, to be fair) practically keeling over. But it was worth it in the end. Not that they'd lost their touch, but it would be fair to call them out of practice. And the coach just couldn't have that.

Hikari pinned her bangs back again, practically collapsing on the bench off to the side of the field. Practice had ended five minutes ago, but she could still feel the sweat on her skin and her bangs were practically clinging to her forehead. Grabbing her waterbottle and taking a sip, she noticed a familiar freshman not too far away from where she was situated.

"Ivory," she called out once she twisted the cap back on the waterbottle and set it down. Hikari hopped back up (wincing the slightest bit) and walked over to the younger girl with a smile. 

"You're been pretty scarce lately, huh? I hope practice hasn't been kicking your butt too hard."
