I need feminism because a classmate once told me the wage gap didn’t exits and that he, as women, also felt as much insecure as women when walking at night.

I need feminism because I once had to detour and go into a library to hide from a guy following me.

I need feminism because I can’t show my ‘distracting’ shoulders at school

I need feminism because my mom doesn’t let me go to my condominium gym and night and in the afternoon I need to take pepper spray with me.

iI need feminism because once in a 5th grade party two kids wouldn’t stop chasing me and my friend even after we told them we didn’t want to dance with them.

I need feminism because a friend of my brother once barged in to the bathroom where he knew I was showering and everyone acted like it never happened.

I need feminism because at a recent party, after denying a guy a kiss I had to hug him to make him go away.

For the past year or so, I haven't been political or anything. I've kept my opinions to myself but as a pansexual female who uses birth control and has her own rights. I stand for the girls who cant speak and won't to what may be happening to them. I get it, for a lot of people it was a rock and hard place vote but that's not something I disagree with. I disagree with people who step in others to reach the top and think that equality is just for the men. I'm not attacking people personally I'm just putting my opinion out there. Ethnicity, sexuality or gender shouldn't be a reason to see difference. It should be a thing of pride, of happiness not something that should make people feel unworthy. WE ARE ALL ONE SPECIES SO WHY DON'T WE START ACTING LIKE IT!! So hate me if you will but this world doesn't need anymore hate.

I went on a service trip and these men kept on following me and my friend around everywhere we went. They would whistle at us, touch our shoulders and our waists and pull on our arms, and call out things like “pretty girl”, “sexy”, “come over here”. I was scared we were gonna get separated from our group and get lost (especially since we were in a foreign country)

I was in a middle school party in my hometown. There was this 13 or 14 year old boy getting handsy with one of my classmates. Thankfully the boy got kicked out, and never to be seen again.
