It was all an act, then again when one is caught in the act itself what can they do but lie? A few fake tears here and there and a false claim of self defense against the now corpse, saying it was an abusive boyfriend she wrapped her arms around the male. “Thank you for understanding.” More lies, more like thank you for not turning me in. It was for the slightest hint of a second that her lips turned upward in a smile, but only for a second of course before her expression went back into playing the distressed and sad girlfriend. As she pulled away she looked at the dried blood and bruises that littered her thin arms, a soft chuckle slipping past her lips. “This looks bad, huh?”
how very peculiar. He wanted to believe the tears so adamantly rushing down her rosy cheeks, collective fear engaged in her voice and the eyes that didn’t really meet his often. Everything seemed exactly how she was making it out to be, yet it was all off. Her heartbeat remained regular, a bit faster than normal but not the speed of a woman who’d just killed her abusive boyfriend in the middle of a fight. At least, that’s what he thought it was. For a while, he didn’t say much, simply nodded to some of her inquiries in the same time her smile lavished him briefly in something wicked, an ultimate truth that could barely be brought to light. The wolf doesn’t falter one moment in keeping up his own act, whatever had gone on here, he hadn’t shown up early enough to connect each dot that pointed straight at the watery eyes he was sure practiced this many times before.
“How did her hurt you, miss? Let me call the authorities for you, at least. It’s really none of my concern how this may look, I’m simply here to help.”
