I devoured your JoexNicky fic! It was so well done. I really appreciate the care you put into writing the history and the characters. One of the best Old Guard fics I've come across so far! I was so excited to hear that you were writing them because I always loved how you wrote Hook and Emma.
...oh man, Captain Swan. That was like... five hyperfixations ago. I applaud your resolve in sticking around this long through me descending into screaming chaos over all kinds of other things.
Anyway, I’m very glad that you enjoyed the fic! It was obviously deeply self-indulgent for any number of reasons -- the history, the people who turned up in it, the fact that this entire ship is a giant-ass chocolate cake with my name on it (seriously, it’s what you would design if you could in fact lure me into a bear trap in the woods with an OTP), etc, etc. But people have seemed to really like it and I am very pleased about that.
Now that Joe and Nicky have officially made it onto the list of my hyperfixations, we will have to see if more fic results (as it usually does). I don’t have any particular ideas at the moment, though I’m sure I will write prompts and such. I also watched the movie for the third time in ten days yesterday, so I’ll probably next have to look into checking out the comics in order to Feed my Need. Alas.
