Character A is a teacher. Actually, she's A Teacher, capitalized, written in perfectly formed cursive and possibly adorned with a tiny apple sticker next to it. A was born to be a teacher. She grew up dreaming of the day she'd get to teach her own class of elementary students, she loved every second of her education, and she's now thoroughly in love with her job. And her students love her right back. Miss A is still too young for any of her students to be all grown up, but everyone assumes she's the kind of teacher most of them will remember all through their adult lives. She's living her dream.

Character B is... a free spirit. She's never been interested in rules or the ways society is supposed to function, and her only goal in life is to be free, have fun, and go on a road trip from Alaska to Argentina on her beloved motorbike. Is that even possible? She'll find out when she gets there. If she gets there, as it turns out, because one day she gets a call telling her there's been a terrible accident and her sister and brother-in-law are gone, and for some unthinkable reason, they named her as her niece's guardian.

What. The. Hell.

Overnight, B acquires a seven-year-old girl and a whole world of responsibilities she's not even sure she wants to take on. But that's not the kid's fault, right? So B moves from her 'grunge chic' city apartment to her sister's beige suburban house, leaves her bike in the garage so she can drive her niece to school in a sensible hybrid car, and considers the fact that she's gonna have to get an actual steady job and not just do odd jobs and street art for tips.

And as if that wasn't enough, she's supposed to volunteer in her niece's classroom for the week, because this is apparently one of those schools. At least Miss A seems nice. Silver linings, right?

Alternate flavors:

A and B hit it off right away. They become fast friends and sparks are very obviously flying, so after a while they finally decide to go on an actual date... and that's exactly when B's long term on-again off-again girlfriend shows up.

A and B do hit it up right away and become fast friends with sparks included, but sadly they're not the only ones. The resident Golden Bachelor, ex-professional sportsman PE teacher, has been having a sparkly friendship with Miss A for the last couple of years, and he's not about to give it up.

Character A was born to be a star. She knows it, her parents know it, and every single person in her tiny home town knows it. She's reigned supreme on stage since elementary school, and when she finally (unsurprisingly) gets a spot in the best performing arts college in the country, she knows she'll be the very best once again.

Except.

As it turns out, every single person in her class has also reigned supreme in their former school. A is suddenly surrounded by other stars, and for the first time in her life, she may not actually be the shiniest one. And the worst part? Her roommate, Character B, is freaking insufferable.

B is not interested in stardom, though she figures it's an inevitable side effect of having as much talent as she does. She's in love with the arts, has devoted her life to studying and practicing and perfecting her craft, and she will absolutely destroy anyone who dares jeopardize her chances of making it to the top. And that includes her roommate A and her A Star Is Born delusions of grandeur.

It's soon clear A and B are each other's only real competition when it comes to being top of their class, so when it's time to assign the roles for the end of year performance, everyone knows it will not be a peaceful time for anyone involved.

A and B go head to head for the main role and at some point the tension between them turns into... a different kind of tension.

A and B think they're competing for the main role, but the reality is even worse: they're cast as love interests (or a duet, if they're not into acting) and will have to work together for the rest of the semester. Without killing each other.

Character A works as a bartender in a college town. It's not her dream job, but it pays the bills and the hours allow her to go to class, so she feels like she can't really ask for more. She just has to keep going until she gets her shiny degree and she can hopefully get her first job in her dream career.

For the last couple of weeks, A has noticed a newcomer around the bar. Character B is charming, flirty, and a generous tipper. She seems to be in her element surrounded by beautiful women, and A would be lying if she said she hasn't noticed B left the bar with a different companion every night.

A isn't judging, by the way. Merely making an observation.

One night, A closes the bar and finds B right outside, uncharacteristically alone and not exactly sober. A lives right across the street, so she offers B a place to crash for the night, and B begrudgingly accepts.

A wakes up the next morning to a thank you breakfast and a side of B she'd never seen at the bar. Sparks fly between perfectly golden toast and lively conversation, and before either of them can fully wrap their head around what's happening, they find themselves in A's bed.

When B doesn't show up at the bar that night or the night after that, A breathes a sigh of relief: she's promised herself to stay away from romance and drama until she graduates, and the last thing she wants is to be yet another name on B's list of conquests.

What A wasn't expecting was to walk into her first class of the semester and find B sitting right there.

Awkward.

Although they both try to pretend the other doesn't exist, fate gets in the way and they find themselves paired up for a project that will have them worked in close quarters for the rest of the semester.

B isn't just in A's class... she's teaching it. Turns out B is the newest TA in the department, and A can't drop the class if she wants to graduate in time.

Character A and Character B grew up in the same small town. They were best friends in elementary school and were dating by their sophomore year in high school, and everyone who knew them knew they were meant to be.

Like many girlfriends before them, A and B made plans for their life after graduation. They'd apply to the same colleges, of course, and leave their tiny town together to live all kinds of adventures in the great big world outside. Together. As always.

But things did not go according to plan. While A got into her dream school, all B got in the mail were a handful of rejection letters. But that didn't mean they had to give up on their dreams, right? There was a decent community college near their hometown, and they could do the long distance thing for a couple of years. They were meant to be, after all.

Against all odds, however, distance in this case didn't quite make their hearts grow fonder. A was too busy with school to visit as often as they'd planned, and B started feeling more and more like she simply belonged in their little town and not in the great big world outside. By the end of their first year in college, they'd broken up.

Several years later, A goes back home for their school reunion. When she sees B, she realizes their story may not have been as over as they thought.

Either A or B (or both) aren't single when they meet again.

A skips the school reunion, partly because she knows she has some unresolved feelings for B, and partly because she's starting a new job as a teacher and she has to prepare for her first day. When she meets her new students, one of the little kids happens to have eyes just like B's... and their single mom wants a meeting with Miss A.

i want a f/f plot where they're both invited to an old friend's wedding and they both went alone and they were both having some issues at the wedding (like my char prob has a fear of love or something idk) and so one chara goes outside to smoke and the other one goes outside a little later to walk and clear their mind and they meet and its kinda awkward bc they both wanted to be alone but they slowly open up to each other and talk about their issues bc they feel like opening up to a stranger is easy and then it just goes from there but i need it
