Ep 33-Talking With the Women from the 1st Annual FemWINism Entrepreneurship Summit by Myki Angeline t is no secret that Myki Angeline has a passion for seeing other women win. So naturally, it made perfect sense for her to interview some of the incredible women behind Sacramento’s first ever Fem-WIN-ism Entrepreneurship Summit. Get ready to be amazed and inspired for the next 90 minutes! Myki was graciously asked to moderate the panel of six highly successful women entrepreneurs which included: Shanwn Brown, Micah Thompson, Dominque (‘D’ Jay) Johnson, Christina Marie, and Tiana Burse. Hosted by the eloquent Andrea Finch (My Purple Dahlia Media), this panel was unlike your average group of speakers you may have seen and heard. They get REAL. No fluff. Each woman shared with the crowd their struggles, their fails, how they hit rock bottom before discovering the winning formulas for success. It was a true sense of community with women AND men… and children at this spectacular event. FES opened with dynamic and memorable performances by singer Julie’a, dance company Amped Entertainment, and singer JoJo Minnick. The interview starts off with the creators of this vision; Moriah Renee of Indie Things Possible, and R&B singer Tia Ferrera who share with us their reason and passion behind this women’s entrepreneurship summit. Next up, Myki talks with Tiana Burse, founder of Bar Talk and Coffee (weekly vlogs and apparel) who shares with us how important branding is and where the future of going viral is headed. Nine year old sensation Khloe Thompson of Khloe Kares was the youngest entrepreneur to speak at this summit. Khloe shared with Myki her story behind her charity of helping the homeless in Sacramento. Sacramento Visual Artist Rora Blue showcased her series, “Handle With Care” which was inspired by her own encounters with sexism. She has quite the following on Instagram with nearly 58k followers! Myki finishes this podcast with an in-depth talk on feminism and the continued struggle for women in the industry with the Executive Director of Capitol Indie Collective, Christina Marie who was the co-presenter for FES. CIC is now at CLARA where the Summit was held.
