N: Favorite protagonist?I’m going to limit this to main protagonists, simply because I generally obsess over supporting characters more and ignore main characters a bit because of that. And since the series is on my mind anyway, I’m going to go with NiGHTS. While the original game didn’t have a ton of narrative to describe the story (though honestly I think that works really well), the character they created with NiGHTS was engaging, nicely designed and very inspiring just thinking about the world they live in. Also, genderless protagonists are so rare. They shouldn’t be so rare, but that’s another discussion for another time. Regardless, I like that they purposely made NiGHTS not have a gender.T: Best game memory? That would have to be the first time I completed NiGHTS into Dreams as a kid! It was the first video game I ever managed to play from start to finish entirely on my own, with no help from anyone. In general I’m not very good at video games and tend to watch my friends play them more than I play them myself. So managing to complete something by myself felt like a big deal to me.Sadly, a couple of years back I dug my SEGA Saturn out of the loft and tried to play NiGHTS again, only to find that I couldn’t get past Jackle at all. So apparently I haven’t got better at games with age. xDW: Any games you regret getting rid of?This is where I have to admit that I’m a terrible hoarder and rarely get rid of anything. I can’t think of a single example of a video game that I’ve let go of, even ones I didn’t enjoy very much.
