Art by Khurje.
Well. That went sort of nowhere.
Still; I've been... well, not playing the game more often. Less, if anything. But I've been talking about the topic with a few friends, and even got a couple game-related commissions made by this amazing person, including the Work-In-Progress image above.
I also convinced a friend to maybe sort of perhaps getting the game and play with me a bit; That might be a good reason for a re-start point in this blog; It has certainly spurred me into thinking a bit more about my three main charrs' back story.
Now. I'm not the best there is at roleplaying. In fact I'm probably the worst. And let's not even mention art. Last person to stare at one of my drawings kind of gouged out their eyes with a rusty ice cream spoon in a futile attempt to escape the horrors burned perpetually on their eyes. But I write.
Or wrote. A while ago. Years, actually. I've probably forgotten most of what I learned during my writing classes, and English ain't my first language, but... It's still something sort of productive for me to do. I might give it a try.
Not sure who'd be interested in reading a story about my personal charrs, but hey, I'm also sort of used to that. Still worth a try.
In the meanwhile, I might be asking a few of the people with charr characters, gw2 roleplay tumblrs, and "ask me" blogs about it; I'm honestly not certain what's the general etiquette regarding roleplay and filling in the holes left by the lack of an extended canonical lore, not to mention how the canon personal story interacts with people's personal characters' "canon".
Also reblogging GW2-related art I like.
So!; If anybody is reading this far, has a tumblr of the type described above, and wouldn't mind getting pestered with awkward questions about GW2 lore and roleplaying, please throw me a poke. Via the ask stuff link in the sidebar, I suppose. I'm also not the savviest at tumblr.
