(Remy the) Rat [free pattern quick review]

Free Crochet Pattern by @crochets_byliza on Instagram.

Made this as a last minute housewarming gift for a friend, so I don't have many notes on this pattern. Outcome was adorable, great for gifting, my friend absolutely adored it.

This is more of a beginner-intermediate pattern.

Making Experience It takes a little longer to work up than you'd expect, although that might just be my "I-have-a-party-today-with-no-gift" panic talking.

I used Aran Chenille Yarn by Hobby Store for this project.

Would I Recommend? Yes! The pattern is easy to follow, the outcome is quite cute. Although the pattern doesn't say this explicitly, the project feels very Remy inspired.

Bear Bubble Tea [Trying free patterns 5/??]

Free Bear Bubble Tea Pattern, except mine looks a bit more like a cat because I cinched its ears. Also was too lazy to do the boba :P

Making this was quick, easy, and super duper satisfying! The pattern is low sew, but you can modify it to be no sew altogether if you crochet the ears directly on the plushie! I didn't do that, but its food for thought?

Baby Bow Bunny [Trying Free Patterns pt4]

Wow this took longer to work up than I expected, mainly because the ears are worked in circles. Very worth it though, the end result is absolutely adorable!

I opted to modify the bow a little; I skipped over the "bow tails" and attached it to the rabbit's neck so it looks more like a bowtie.

Considering giving him a freehanded top hat, but I also really like how he looks right now.

Would recommend this pattern if you have some time and yarn to kill fs! Helped me get through some unused yarn rq.

Fred the Sea Turtle [Trying Free Patterns 5/??]

Pattern can be found on this blog! It is a free pattern by CJ Design.

I modified the pattern a little to look like a pie (which, tbh, it doesn't but its still cute).

The pattern's easy, clear, and very modifiable. It's also no sew, which is a bit of a blessing given how many little parts it has!

MODIFICATIONS These are just the ones I made, bc personal preference:

Legs: instead of 12 sc after folding the circle in half, I opted for 4 sc and leaving the end facing away from the body open. Attaching it to the body followed the same method in the pattern :)

For the frill, I switched out round 10 of the shell. I did a color change in the beginning, then did 36*(3hdc in 1 stitch)

For the beige lines, I just inserted my hook into the frill and made chains till it reached the other side of the shell before slipstitching and fastening off

The colours can be switched around a lot to make a variety of themes turtles! I myself am planning on making a watermelon turtle using this pattern as a base

Mini Dessert Drinks [Trying Free Patterns 3/?]

Tried this cutie pattern by @/knotsewbinka on Instagram, and its so cute! Added a freehand lemon to the pattern (notes attached below), but otherwise followed the pattern exactly.

Also added a thin wire for stability because I used plush yarn and it wouldn't stand without it.

This is also a very versatile pattern (with 2 milkshake coded glass shapes) in terms of colour pairings! Plus points if you're able to freehand fruit garnishes :)
