The last post I reblogged made me think...
Why are white people not allowed to talk about black issues?
You want us to care... why are you looking at us like that if we are talking about it in a concerned upset manner. - I understand if they talk about it like the victims deserve what has happened or that that white people are just as oppressed in different areas.. but if they are truly concerned and upset about it join in the conversation and talk about it.
Why are we not allowed to be as upset as you and empathize? No we don’t know what it really feels like and we never will. I understand this from having mental illness and people not understanding what I am going through even though they say they do. It’s just not possible unless you have gone through it.
BUT WHY CAN WE NOT EMPATHIZE.
If we don’t empathize with the issue and talk about it and show we care... it’s not going to get better, cause we are the race oppressing you... if we don’t care it will just keep happening...
