Sweepfoot's sister and his biggest supporter. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't have become as capable as he is now. When Sweepfoot was healed, Fernglow asked to be temporaliry relieved of warrior duties to help her brother learn to fight and hunt again.

She's usually quiet but very observant of what is happening around her and she never gives up.

Today I’m at Tokyo Fast Food in Sawtelle!

I’ve only been here once and this is one of my favorite restaurants in LA so far. It reminds me of the best kind of Chinese takeout place - small, not too fancy, authentic, and delicious food. There is seating, but many people are coming in and out with takeout. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall in a less glamorous strip mall in Sawtelle Japantown.

Parking is much easier than in the busy Nijiya Market strip mall! It’s packed and difficult to get into Nijiya’s small garage there, but here there are just enough spaces. It’s not too crowded but not empty either.

It’s not the fanciest Japanese food you can find in Sawtelle by any means, but it’s good! It’s similar to what you would find at a Sarku restaurant in a mall, but this one is family owned. Also, I suspect overall, it’s better quality than a Sarku.

Hi! I’m going to talk a bit about today’s work and the coffee shop I visited.

Frank’s Coffee in Filipino Town

Extremely friendly staff of one. Good coffee. $10 for an iced latte and overnight oats. Not much outdoor seating. It’s on a busy street, and not the nicest area. Not really a good study environment, more commercial. No one else working or hanging out here when I visited. It’s good to support non-chain cafes like this one though.

Today’s work: Create a draft of my McKay paper

I’ve been putting off this paper for ages. It’s late at this point. It scares me because I’m not entirely sure what to write about and it has to be six pages, which I don’t often write. I can do it though! It’s all about just getting started and not editing myself as I go.

To assist in this quest I will work on paper (I didn’t even bring my laptop) and set timers to first work for only 5 minutes, then once I’m in the groove, do pomodoro with the forest app. My concrete goal here is to work here until 5pm when they close. I want to get a full outline, and get started writing paragraphs.

It’s hot out so hopefully I can withstand the heat and get some work done. I really don’t want to go home where I’ll be distracted for sure.
