Not to talk about warrior cats on main for the nteenth time but Bristlefrost’s death is so deeply disturbing to me. Imagine you sacrifice yourself to kill a man that possessed the fucking president and has been using that power to terrorize your home and it’s citizens for months.

You’re denied an afterlife because the lake you both drowned in kills souls, and yet all you’re remembered for is the fact that you were a wife and could’ve been a mother if you survived.

For reasons beyond human understanding, Heatherstar is actually my fav of the prequel-era leaders lol. Love her and her goofy pink fur + purple eyes combo <3 and I stand by her every decision. Proud tunneling abolitionist right here.

Although changing Hopkit into Deadpaw completely unprompted was kinda. girl what? I guess it was par for the course at that time(and we had to get him to his arc one name somehow), so I don't hold it tooooo much against her. Still urgh...

I like to headcanon Hawkheart and her were littermates. I don't have any reasons for it, I just think it'd be neat.

Here's Bristlefrost, and the other two will be posted next c:

She mostly resembles her mama, Ivypool, but she has a bit of yellow from Fernsong, as well as his face shape and markings. Her darker muzzle and the stripes on her thighs are from Birchfall, her grandma, but I believe Ivypool probably has them too under her white patches. For Bristle's eye color I had to go all the way back to Willowpelt, who was her great-great-grandmother. I also made her fur kinda spiky, because come on, her name is not only Bristle but also Frost, of course she'd be spiky. Her name makes me think of icicles, actually... I drew her running, rushing over to save somebody, since that just seems to be her thing.

After the way she died, I honestly imagined her to become some sort of legendary hero, a symbol of bravery who's story would be passed down to the next generations... But recently, whenever she's mentioned, she's mostly just Rootspring's tragic dead wife backstory... Starlingpaw literally refers to her as "the she-cat that Rootspring used to love" or something along those lines. Why isn't her name remembered? Why isn't she one of the cats that the elders and nursery queens tell stories about? It's honestly upsetting :c

I'm glad they didn't magically revive her ghost, though. I feared it for the entirety of Ivypool's Heart, and I ended up liking the resolution quite a lot c: Her sacrifice just wouldn't feel as meaningful if she wasn't actually gone for good
