The interview with the ferret breeder went well. Really well. Beyond all expectations, honestly. The breeder and I just “clicked” and we ended up talking about a lot of in-depth ferret care and ethical stuff. We’re lined up to get ferrets in June/July, depending on the available litters.

I’m...very tired now. Nerves had us up all night worrying. Turns out we’re actually really good at doing things even if we were worried sick about them.

Hey y'all it's the summer and that means to keep your ferret cool. - make sure your baby has tons of water - make sure you wash their food bowls regularly because the oil in their food can go bad and make then not want to eat - make sure you are paying attention to the temperature in your house and aren't letting them overheat - make sure you moved their cage away from windows or direct sunlight You can make a nice cool pack for your ferret by filling up a plastic bag with ice and shoving it in one of those fuzzy socks then put it in a place where they hang out the most in their cage. Stay cool out there!

I know it’s unrealistic, but with a bit of construction and hard work, my pantry would make an excellent ferret cage.

ferrets are known for pooping in front of doors. this little trick is especially helpful for those who have free range ferrets. we bought a piece of ply wood (very cheap) and cut it to fit diaganolly in front of our door. this way the door can still open and close but won't be smearing poop everywhere. we also bought cat litter mats(water resistant and washable) and put them along the ply wood, that way when the ferrets do go to the bathroom it won't destroy the carpet. just high enough so they can escape and just short enough so it can be easily stepped over.

My apartment is such a mess rn ; u ; Weasels haven't been getting out much from all the mess laying around and people moving things around that I don't want them getting potentially hurt. But tonight it's just me and I'm done with everything for the day so they're getting in a good romp while I keep a close eye. So uh enjoy the snapchat spam you nerds/victims because they're too cute when they're playing.

My ferret is such a spoiled turd. She won't eat from hey food bowl unless it's full. She just digs around it until I add another ounce of food to fill her bowl up
