Ferrian, a warlock of the wild hunt for a mini campaign. yes I did rip his design from my old celegorm design, don’t look at me 😩
spent the weekend doing some simple portraits of oc’s of mine, after making several for commissions.. Tryggvi is the only one not of the same universe as the rest, but then again.. He sneaks himself into all universes, somehow.
Mika She is a creation of Eitir, an Ultieer. Based on the genome of Neila, daughter of Latif. (Like all of that, is... Takes a while to explain) But her "adoptive” father was a federal agent, a strict sort that at times resolved to using physical punishment in child rearing. He wasn't a bad father, or particularly abusive, but it didn't stop Mika from running away from home after one such altercation. She was around 13 at that time, and too young to be running the streets, but after she had cooled down from the fight with her father, she felt too ashamed to go back home, and never did. Her father however never stopped looking for her. They crossed paths a few times, once while he was working a case. Seated on the opposite subway from hers. She panicked, he had renewed hope at returning her back home. Using the resources at his disposal, he located where she had been staying. But what he was met with was a man not entirely human, Zethymir. Zethymir was there to kill Mika, but left having killed her father instead. Mika is like the universes “fuck you” to itself, and everything in it. She seems insignificant, besides the part where she got a “seer assigned assassination” on her head, by the Ferrians. Which is targets assigned by Ferrians seers to make the war go smoothly. This was to be preformed by Zethymir, who for reasons he couldn't understand then, was unable to do so.
Big Tree Bullseye (Bullseye is the name Mika gave him, because he got a knack of getting shot.) Big Tree and Mika share the same problem, Ferrian’s got one of their siblings. Mika was at one point confronted with her younger brother, who the Ferrians had tried to alter for their indoctrination into their own society. Mainly to give him access to their “connection”. Didn't go well. Big Tree wounded his shoulder during a skirmish with the Sioux, and was rendered unable to properly use a bow from then on. This lead him to feel shameful, and useless to his mother and sisters and the village as whole. Eventually he started to drink a lot, this in return lead him to get more and more familiar with the language of the white man. During that time he met with white folks more frequently and learned more of the language, which gave him the opportunity to handle trading with them, and similar tasks. Eventually making him a representative of the Pawnee, earning him the Indian peace medal by the US. That gave him a lot of the honour back, in which he felt he had lost. He had the medal, the others didn’t, he’d boast a bit, the others would envy him a bit, they’d joke about it and all seemed fine again. Until a day when a flash in the sky caught the tribe’s attention. A group along with Big Tree went to check it out, but unbeknownst to the rest of them, his younger sister was convinced that this was Tirawahut's doing, and wished to see it for herself.. And shit went down... What it was, was time and space displacement gone awry. The cause was an experiment during the Ferrian Earth war. Sending him and his sister across time. His sister was captured by the Ferrians moments after. Big Tree sets out to find his sister, in a world he doesn't understand. He eventually come across Mika, whom he, in mild terms "kidnaps." She wears a necklace in which he recognize from one of the Ferrian warriors who took his sister. He believes Mika to be a means to find his sister again. Those two eventually become an unlikely pair of friends. An unstoppable force of "wtf just happened."
Zethymir Was created by a man named Eitir (Ultieer) for the purpose to infiltrate the Ferrian people. Zethymir was partially created using a Ferrian captive and Eitir's own genome. The Ferrian captive/slave, was a third gen captive of the Ultiers. As they had managed to capture a fleet belonging to Ferrians centuries ago. They had kept the prisoners, and bred them for.. Specific reasons, I'm not going into. Eitir picked out a large group of slaves and placed them on a ship, including Zethymir and his mother. This was meant as a lure, to ensure that Zethymir would be taken into the Ferrian society. The ship was placed on a route in which Eitir knew a Ferrian ship would pass. He launched the "vultures," onto the ship with the slaves. (They are essentially the same as the Reavers in firefly, to an extent. They are subgroup of Ultiers.) Ferrians are one of the biggest proponent in the galaxy in fighting and hunting Vultures. (Who most don't know are Ultiers, most don't know the existence of Ultiers either..) Now everyone on the slave ship knew they were the sacrificial lamb, to ensure that Zethymir would be taken in by the Ferrians. He was at that point a young boy, and he wasn't supposed to be exposed to the vultures, but hearing his mother being attacked he came out of hiding. Which just caused him to be attacked as well. Luckily for him at least, the Ferrian slaves did what they could to save him, ensuring he remained alive until the other Ferrian ship got lured in. Zethymir was taken in by the Fewyn leader among the Ferrians, and trained to become a Fewyn himself. The Fewyn are specially trained Ferrians soldiers, for more specific tasks than “war”. The ship he was found on was considered a mystery, as Ferrians being rather xenophobic tend to keep to themselves. Not that they don’t travel outside their solar system, but such a large ship with so many people, they’d know about it. Lacking the connection as Ferrians have (a form of emotional bond) and his few but noticeable physical differences from Ferrians in general made it so that he was never properly accepted in that society. Those "flaws" in him was made intentional by Eitir, to ensure Zethymir's loyalty to him rather than growing fond of the Ferrian people.
Makhan Aeli He is a character that grew in my mind, without me feeling like i had any choice in the matter. Which is ironic. He is the son of the Masaf, and the next in line to become so. Masaf being the ruler in the Ferrian society. Who is to be Masaf is always determined by who is the strongest among them. This is thoroughly tested while they are young. It is however highly hereditary. Makhan in many ways seem like a gentle and kind person, his mannerisms are soft, in both voice and body language. But he has grown extremely cold and wicked. However it never plays out in an obvious manner, it's always subtle and often devastating. He read minds, and shapes them. The extent of what he can do isn't well known to his own people, but he can even manipulate the bond the Ferrians share. He's so set on what he is meant to do as a Masaf, that he doesn't quite realise why it is that marrying a woman and having a child with her is causing him to rot from the inside. He is a gay man, with one exception. The only woman he ever felt attraction to was his own sister. While you may find incestuous marriages on occasion among what you could consider "the royalty" of the Ferrians, it wasn't at all the norm. She in return was set for an arranged marriage to the son of the Fewyn leader, Jatekh. Makhan could manipulate Neila in any way he liked, and was often tempted to do so. In the end he did at least allow himself to form her mind, so she'd never grow affection towards Jatekh. Jatekh is, however Makhan's closest friend.
Tryggvi Haah...
Maguwa Her mother left her father while she was around 11 years old. Her father found it difficult to raise his daughter in the big cities, and eventually moved them both to a fishing town in Maine. He got a job as a deckhand, but still struggled in a the role as a lone parent. Maguwa understood this, and did her best for her age to make life easier for him. In essence they both took care of one another. Her discipline lead her to a life in the military. She became a target for the Ferrians as well, and they… Sorta succeed in their task in killing her. But then there was Mika. Who fucks up everything, because that’s what she is good at. Maguwa ends up leading one of the resistance groups in the war.
Muul She's like an ADHD Han Solo? Her Husband Diz.. A calmer... Leia. They had to run from their home planet when Diz decided he wanted to bond with Muul. Diz was through a genetic tests risen to nobility as young boy, and Muul was a lowly criminal. Having such a pairing was seen as a catastrophe among the nobles, one they’d kill for. They eventually find refuge among the Angelan and start up their own galactic news station. Ehhh, you got secrets? Not for long.

Moar Oc's...
ZAR GAREEN (A Mahelyid)
Zar had the misfortune of being born with a "tip" as they discriminatingly called it. Pretty much a short tail. The male tail was a symbol of strength and fertility. A Mahelyid male's heritage (pedigree) and tail were important to gain mates, and keep their genes going.
Zar didn't have much of a pedigree chart, nor much of a tail. So his only hope pretty much was to gain respect through act of great courage, rather then through genes. Even though that was not a common thing for the Mahelyids, since they pretty much believed if it's not in the genes... Well, you get the picture.
Either way, there are Mahelyid avatars, men who share similar genetic make-up as heroes and icons of the past. One of these avatars had secretly been supporting a terrorist group on Halma, which fought against its main government and upholding the peace which now existed between the people of Halma and Mahely. Mahelyids and Hyalman's had been fighting for several years. Starting off with the Mahelyids capturing and using Hyalman's as slaves. The peace between the two were not desirable by some. Among them was Haw the avatar.
The main Hyalman government suspected that the terrorists were getting financial support from some Mahelyids and asked the Ferrians for help.
Ferrians even though being quite Xenophobic, have had a tendency to aid other species with similar problems. And have been the main force in holding the "vultures" back. Which is why many hold them in high esteem. Even though they might hate or distrust other species, they see it as their responsibility to keep a form of order in the sector. "Because no one else is really capable of it..."
They sent a Fewyn (Ferrian special soldier/spy) to end the Hyalmans problems. And he was able to find the source of much of the terrorists foundings, the avatar Haw. While informing the Hyalman's about this, he was asked by the Hyalmans to assassinate the avatar. The Fewyn however was against this, but when the Hyalman's offered military support in scouting for vultures the Ferrians agreed. But before the Fewyn had assassinated Haw, the Hyalman's informed the Mahelyids of a planned attempt on the avatar's life by the Ferrians. Claiming that they were aiding the Hyalman terrorists. The terrorists had, as they claimed, offered the Ferrians help when they had taken over the government, with aid against the vultures in exchange for some favours, such as assassinating certain Avatars. They also gave them a picture of the Fewyn who they "believed" was going to assassinate Haw. Who became known as the Red Ferrian. The Hyalman's had timed it just right, by the time the Mahelyids decided to take the information seriously Haw was already dead and gone. The Hyalman's had no desire to aid the Ferrians with the Vulture problem, not only because of the terrors the vultures were known for, but also because the Hyalman's were rebuilding. The terrorists were for fighting the Mahelyids, so it didn't take too much convincing for the Mahelyids to take the Hyalman's word for it.
The Mahelyids demanded that the Ferrians would hand over the assassin. But Ferrians denied any relations to this so called Red Ferrian. The Ferrian's were betrayed, and there was little they could do. At least not officially... After all of this, Zar saw his opportunity, catching this Red Ferrian would be his goal to glory.
Zethymir (Red Ferrian, 301 of the Fewyn.)
Zethymir was found as a kid on a wrecked spaceship among a destroyed fleet, torn by the vultures. Parts of his body torn off and eaten, hardly alive. The Ferrians who found the ships were surprised to find the foreign and strange ships filled up with people looking just like Ferrians, With minor differences like colouring of hair and eyes on some. No one knew who they were, or how they had ended up there. But Zethymir was still brought with them, healed and taken in by the Fewyn leader. Trained and educated to be one of them. He was never really well accepted by the Ferrians in general, seeing as many of them are really xenomorphic and he deviated enough for them to distrust him, as well for his inability to enter the connection. Many Mytans highly respect him though, and you'll find quite a few Mythans (Ferrians from the moon Myto) serving under him in the 300's. His abilities is lighting, and later on in the story he accidentally phase shift when his mech arm overloads while using his powers. In a sense throwing him into another reality, limbo. He found this to be a very effective way to hide evidence when he masters that ability. Even though he's "part" of the Ferrian people now, most about him is a lie. So info right now is limited i suppose
Sodii wanted me to create some full body refs/clothes for my OC Zethymir...
So here are some sketches.
So... I've been asked about my OC's and that world and so forth... And i figured i could upload an old image and some background story...
Thousands of years ago there was a race that lived on a planet in a system, no one remembers.
This race had "powers", telekinetic sort. Some could wield lightning, others fire etc...
But it was only the men who could tho.
But the women of that race had this secret, a sort of connection between them. This connection made them able to bond emotionally. If a woman became sad or something like that, the women on the planet would feel it, and push their emotions on her, and their collective emotions would rise her spirits.
This race had a form of kings, called Masaf. They had 10 Masafs in total, and the Masaf title belonged to the most powerful of them.
One Masaf family had a daughter called Neila, who was to be married away to another man. She didn't want this and ran away... This however was looked upon as a terrible thing to do, dishonor to family and name. Now her father loved her, but he was a Masaf first and felt forced to hunt her down and kill her to save the honor of the family and the "kingdom". He did find her, but as he forced his blade through her after some sappy talks... Bla bla Neila lay her hands on him, and in some way or another forced the connection onto him, which sort of lead to this domino effect opening the connection to everyone.
This had big repercussions as men now could feel what women felt etc. (They can't really tell who is feeling what, but yeah..)
This lead to 3 factions, what is "now known" as Ferrians, Agelians and Ultiers (Vultures).
Agelians: wanted to stop using the connection but change the treatment of women. (1 Masaf family)
Ultiers: wanted to keep it mostly as it always had been. (7 Masaf Families)
Ferrians: wanted to keep the connection and teach women to use powers which previously thought they had none of. (2 Masaf families Including the Father of Neila.)
This lead to a war, in which Agelians were sort of on the side of Ultiers against Ferrians.
Eventually Agelians switched sides, but the planet they all lived on were getting devastated Which lead to a peace treaty, which meant everyone abandoned the planet in search of new worlds to live on. All going separate ways.
After years had passed, and all of them establishing new worlds two of them known (Agelian's and Ferrian's) The Ultiers attacked Ferrian's new home Ylem.
They had never really forgiven them for how things ended up. But Agelians came to the Ferrian's aid and forced the Ulterians out of known space.
Much of this history has been buried though the millennia to the point that now most Ferrians don't even know they are "related" to Agelians and Ultiers, as evolution made smaller changes on them all. And as for Ultiers, no one has really seen their face for thousands of years, but they have seen the Vultures.
Ultiers through thousands of years evolved to have none of the powers they previously had.
The source of their powers used to, like with Ferrians now, be shown on their skin. From the spine to the neck to the side of the face, almost blue crystal like growth, that produced the cells necessary.
While in Ultiers you can see what looks like hollowed scars where those crystal ought to be.
It's assumed among the Ultiers that their powers are not entirely gone, as some of those crystals can still be found in small amount on the spine. They think it might give off a slight signal to the "connection". And this in return is what fucks up the Vultures.
And Vultures are born (by two Ultiers) WITH the crystals, but they are rabid, they are not quite sentient.
Ultiers found out a way to use them rather then kill them off. They found a way to use this connection they still have to control them.
So what the Ultiers did was sit back, and unleash the Vultures on the galaxy.
They ravage planets, kill rape and eat people they come by. They are a plague, and spread fear to any man's heart.
Ferrians developed to be rather xenophobic, their connection has made them rather peaceful among themselves. But anything that is not them, that does not share the connection is to be considered with suspicions. They look upon most races outside their own as beneath them. It's so bad that no other race is allowed to enter the solar system of theirs beyond the trading port on the outer planets.
While the Ferrians started off with two Masaf families, they are now one. As the one they have now outgrew the other in power rather much. But the other developed into something now known as the Fewyn. It's a form of military/spy/mercenary thing. The Fewyn family had a special gift which enabled them to awaken dormet cells in their body. Which made their skin rather dark. It also made their reflexes much faster, smell and hearing as well as sight much better. This they used to train the best Ferrians in order to become a part of the Fewyn. The previous head of the Masaf, is now the head of the Fewyn with the title 201, and leads the 200. The head of the Fewyn now is named Jatekh.
Even so the Ferrians are in a way the galactic police. They are the main force that fights back the vultiers and patrol the outer rims of the galaxy.
Though there was one thing Ferrians allowed, and that was a research project where they collected animals from throughout the galaxy and mix-matched them and placed them on Myto within their solarsystem.
The Ferrians on Myto eventually grew apart from the rest culturally, the connection which is considered a law to be under is something they don't want a part of anymore. Which is a reason you find more "Mythans" in the Fewyn then most other, as Fewyn are trained to fight and be on their own without the connection. The leader of the 300, Zethymir 301 is highly looked up upon by the "Mythans", as he can't join the connection, and he deviates from Ferrians in that his hair is red and eye is blue. (Ferrians have black eyes and dark brown black hair.)
And they like him because Ferrians in general don't. Because of his slight deviation of norm.
Anyways this is on Myto, with a random Ferrian "Mythan", who has colored their hair..
