I know, he did lots of bad things, as I said, he can't be excused. But God, demonizing him isn't a good thing, too. I've seen everything already. From that he was abusing Dorian physicaly to that he was abusing him sexualy, what is a total overdo.
I think he wasn't really a bad person. A bad father, yes, but... Ugh. Too much.
