on the one hand i do think that the broad idea of fesspool is good and am proud of arasha for putting it together but on the other the caliber of confessions in the second half of the first episode have kind of given me the ick on arasha. especially given that she’s spoken about similar concepts she’s pitched at smosh and that it’s something she’s doing independent the onus is on her to reach the bare minimum of not. idk. platforming criminals who show no remorse and validate them for the sake of views. like obviously everyone on the smosh cast does performative stuff for views given that’s their job but the absence of any clear boundaries for what’s too much for confessors and willingness to reward full on malicious arsonists with the attention theyre obviously seeking which has proven to heighten the chances of repeat dangerous behaviour for the sake of clicks makes it really hard to look at arasha the same way

I haven't watched Arasha's new show. I saw a couple clips but I don't think it's for me! Wild that was a confession but Smosh overall is usually cool with RPF.

im gonna be so mean and stupid rq but is anyone else in the smosh sphere waiting for smosh episodes that dont have arasha in them because fesspool put an icky taste in your mouth :[ and im like sad about it cuz like i like the concept of fesspool but. CRIMES? and not funny haha crimes either theyre cruel and inhumane crimes at least the ones ive heard. i only watched the vic michaelis episode (not even the full way through i think) and the tommy bones episode (also... not sure if i finished it but i think i did). also ngl arasha's take on covid-19 and how 'we're back' now was gross because we ARENT we just normalized it to the point its still as harmful as it was we just ignore it as 'part of life' now.

anyway. man. i feel bad cuz i did like arasha in the beginning but fesspool has me like. yikes. so most of the recent smosh videos i havent watched cuz they all have arasha. and its a ME choice they dont pander to me of course but i also know theres a lot of other people who are icked out by fesspool and are vocal about their dislike of platforming literal criminals, which even if it is anonymous it IS still platforming them because its giving them a voice to the public and, honestly, BECAUSE its anonymous it likely means they wont face many, if any at all, repercussions for the mentioned crimes. specifically the arsonist who lit a house on fire while a dog was inside and the serial fish killer ??????? i think there were other crimes too but those are the ones that i remember and. man.

anyway i know im one of the people who are not happy abt fesspool's direction but am i the only one struggling to watch smosh videos with arasha or are there others out there struggling with that too. i had a grand time listening to smosh mouth today. but .. yeah i dunno. struggle bus ride over here cuz smosh became my comfort channel to repeat watch stuff.

again, all my own choices and problems i know, im not saying blahblah they shouldnt have her on at all just because i cant watch her right now, im just wondering if im not alone in the struggle
