fest

its been great so far, i missed it so much last year. so many friends. so many bands. @skatoon-network was definately a highlight. i think fest is the only place you’d see a bunch of grown men with beards singing along to a ska remix of the arthur theme song. we are the union was great too. for a band i knew nothing about six months ago, they are qickly becoming a favorite. strike anywhere is tomorrow. that’s gonna be great. most pictures i took are on instagram, so look there if you want to see stuff, tumblr is more for my written reflections of fest. i never realized how much i missed it last year until i finally came back, but also like every other year, it seems like i never even left. fest truly is the best weekened of the year. and we’ve still got one day to go!

fest was supposed to be this weekend. but it wasn't because it got  canceled because of the plague that the president refuses to do anything about. i guess this truly concludes the biggest bummer summer. i've always thought of fest as more of a new year than the actual new year, it just punctuates the year very nicely. maybe this will also conclude the worst year ever, and on tuesday that piece of  shit donald trump looses the election a lot. i don't particularly like  joe biden either but he's at least better than the alternative. if you  haven't voted yet, im not going to you again. well actually i am, if not for yourself, then for all the people getting killed or left to die by the current administration. if not for them than for the dumbest reason of all: the hope that fest might actually happen next year. i miss shows. i miss my friends. i miss fest. i miss the sun going down later than 5pm.
