Wahh, thanks so much for the ask! Again, so sorry it's taken me a while to get to replying!

I already answered these two for Mohs here! So, I think I'll answer for Stein this time! ::3

Stein honestly isn't much of a gift hearthian - they appreciate the gesture, but they wouldn't be fussed they didn't receive anything at all. They always say they prefer the gift of fun memories and good company over anything material!

Saying that, they really appreciate practical gifts for the bar - tankards, mugs, glasses etc. I like to think that regulars have their own drinking vessel of choice that they might have gifted to Stein when the bar opened; and more and more get added over subsequent years, hehe! In true hearthian fashion, none of the drinkware at On The Rocks match at all.

Really though, they appreciate a helping hand, a listening ear and good company by the fire over any kind of physical item.

🎁- Conversely, what kind of gifts do they like to give?

Stein is terrible at giving gifts. They just don't really "get" the idea of giving something for the sake of giving.

If a friend asks for something, they will of course go out of their way to get it sorted for them, but they're not one for spontaneous gift-giving or even giving during the festive season.

Luckily, being a brewer means that they always have bottles of alcohol to give away, so they've gotten into the habit of just making up extra batches of mulled cider to give to folks and call it a day there.

And when it comes to something for Mylo, well, the "gift of my presence and friendship for another year is more than enough, don't you think bud?"

Jaehee gathering up the courage to approach mc with some mistletoe?

Jaehee’s liked you for a long time, but you are almost as oblivious as she is.

She’s hinted at it several times, even sending you little hearts on chat rooms and drawing them on little notes she gives you.

It’s almost hilarious how everyone else but the two of you notice that you like one another.

Jaehee ends up concocting a plan… Unfortunately she schemed it with seven.

The RFA’s Christmas Party was fast approaching and you were doing your best to help with everything.

You saw a lot of Jaehee and thought she was acting a bit weird around you but you shrugged it off, thinking that she was probably tired.

On the day of the party you heard from Seven that Jaehee was looking for you, when you asked where she was he pointed to a nearby wall that Jaehee was standing near, her eyes glancing around as if she was searching something.

You walked over to her without realising that there was mistletoe hanging above her.

She began speaking to you for a while before Seven came around again and began laughing.

You were so confused.

He told you to look up and when you did you noticed the mistletoe hanging above you.

Immediately, you started to blush.

Jaehee leaned in first.

And it wasn’t a simple quick peck either.

The kiss got more heated as the people around you cheered. 

You ended up dating after that afternoon.

FESTIVE ASKS TIME!!!!

🛷 For the ranch family ::) 🎄- For Stein (beloved)

Thanks so much for the ask, Merry! I can only apologise it has taken so long to reply! Luckily, it is still very much winter where I am so I still have lots of cold-weather thoughts for my blorbos, hehe!

🛷- Do the Ranch Family enjoy any winter-time sports? And are they any good at them?

Dusty, Mohs and Pip are all quite active by nature in their work and home-life, and spend a lot of time outside at their homestead throughout the year! I think they enjoy things like sledding as a family when Pip is young!

Dusty also dabbles in skijoring with their buck, Tungsten, and later gets Pip into the sport when they're older! Neither one of them are competitive, they just enjoy the thrill of being pulled very fast through the snow whilst balancing on crudely made skis, haha! Mohs tried it once, and decided very quickly that they would stick firmly to sledding instead.

🎄- How does Stein celebrate the festive season? Any traditions?

Stein enjoys the season! They're not super outgoing about it, but they take pleasure in the little annual routines of preparing the bar for winter-time - stocking up on good quality logs for the fire; working with Porphy to mull and bottle ciders and sapwine; and (as you know!) decorating the bar with Mylo!

When Mig comes into their life, they make a big effort to make Hearthwarming as special as they can - hand-making decorations with them when they're young, lots of warm drinks like (alcohol-free) honeydew eggnog and hot chocolates with plenty of marshmallows before bed-time; and probably many snow-time shenanigans outside.

Christmas wise, I love watching Miracle on 34th Street (both versions) and the 1994 version of "Little Women". My favorite movies all year round are "Sister Act, "The Birdcage, and "Brooklyn".

Probably a Super Nintendo and my computer. Oh yeah, and my first pager. I'm definitely showing my age!

Never went shopping in real sense before so when we were taken to shop in expensive af places and we liked every other thing, me and my sis kept our mouths shut and only bought a few cheap headbands 😅😅
