I caught a rainbow trout. He was delicious and useful. His meat was eaten by me, my pet turtle got the head, and everything else was buried in the garden underneath a tomato plant for fertilizer. Man, what a useful animal.
James Fauntleroy aka Mr. Cocaine 80's - fertilizer (as heard on Frank Ocean's "Channel Orange")
Fauntleroy co-wrote "American Wedding" and is singing the harmonies/background vocals on the record. That's also him singing the song the song saying "these niggas can't do nothing that I can't do," after the guitar solo.
*(the story of the song "American wedding" reminds me of the movie "Blue Valentine." I almost felt like it was describing scenes from the movie (like going to a courthouse and getting married and kissing your bride in front of the judge, even to the notion of divorce) That song plus a few others on the nostalgia ultra mix tape ("love crimes" wanting to be the father to a child of a girl who was pregnant by another man while you were dating and falling in love with her, as well as "strawberry swing." I thought it was inspired by the movie so much so, that when I first met Frank last year in LA with Anthony Mandler, I had to ask him if he'd ever seen the flick.
Frank also has a slight and barely noticable cameo in the "Cheers" music video I directed for Rihanna as well. I know, I know...[Random insight]
