SPX Post 2015!

I’m going to have a whole bunch of stuff at SPX, table C14! I’ll have a few new things: a few prints of A Nearly Perfect Town, 2 sticker sheets of the Animal Crossing villagers, and my SPX debut, Explorers. I’m hopeful to have copies of Fight! zine too, with my fighter Stella. I’ll also have extra stock of my zines (Pollen, Act II, Fezzine), prints (Bell Tower Corruption, BLE), and comics (Marceline Gone Adrift, Adventure Time)!!!

Oh and since it was a ton of fun at Mocca, I’ll be taking little commissions at the table for totems like these!!! Hope to see you there!

FEZZINE shop opens up again!

I'm opening the shop back up to sell off some of the remaining stock of FEZZINEs 2nd Edition! There are 15 with pop-ups and 35 without, but they all include the amazing mini-comic that Ian Densford (iandensford) did. I'll try and get them out as soon as possible, but I'm scrambling to finish a new zine for SPX and a ton of gallery work at the same time. They'll probably go out early September!

And speaking of conventions - I ordered only a bit more than what was pre-ordered and will be holding on to a few to sell in person. So if you're gonna be at SPX in a couple weeks drop by instead and say hello!

Hey all!

Just wanted to give you an update on the zines! I got the main part of the books back from the printers but I'm waiting on the pop-up prints and the mini-comics. I'm also insanely busy at the moment with work (you can see most of the things I have on my plate here if you're interested) but I will do my best to get everyone's orders out as soon as I can.

I was very excited to be interviewed about FEZZINE for Whurk Magazine, a local art news paper. Seth Casana bought one of the 1st Edition zines and we had a little phone interview to discuss the process. You can read the whole thing here. Thanks Seth!

The second edition of FEZZINE is no longer available for preorder, but there will be more for sale online at the end of the month. Big thank you to everyone who ordered a copy - they'll be printed asap!

Oh man, the zines are finally all on their way to all you cool cats that nabbed a first edition! I'm thrilled as all hell that people from all over the US and many different countries were into this! Domestic mail should arrive this week (on or before Friday - contact me ([email protected]) if you don't get it by Saturday) and International should arrive next week hopefully, but it depends on your country. There might be a couple of extra first editions on their way back from TCAF but otherwise we’re moving on to the preorder for the second edition!

So, if you wanna place a preorder for the second edition, please check the link here! Couple of notes though, because things are a little different for round two. There are now two versions of FEZZINE, one with a pop-up and one with a printed version. My piece (here) turned out to be a bit more cumbersome than I would have liked, so I'm paring it down to make it a cleaner and better design. 50 books will be available with the new and improved pop-up (unless those sell out like immediately in which case I may up the quantity). And the remaining preorders will have my piece printed.

Shipping prices have also been fixed to reflect the new way I'll be posting them to you (different envelopes, faster times, etc.). The zines should ship out early to mid June!

FEZZINE UPDATE!

So first of all, thank you thank you thank you for everyone's patience. Zines are already being sent out in daily waves, so keep an eye out for your mail in within a week (or two-ish weeks if you're abroad). Pop-ups are no joke, man. 

And if you're in Toronto this weekend, Natalie Andrewson is going to have a few copies of FEZZINE so get there fast if you want your copy! Also check out the rest of her work because it's gorgeous. A link to her post about her new zine, Eris, and her table number at TCAF is here. Also at TCAF, Matt Hawkins will be giving a talk about video game zines and FEZZINE is going to be brought up! Wish I were going to TCAF for so many reasons. 

Like I've mentioned before I'll be opening up the shop for preorders to figure out how many to reprint. This should happen on Monday! That said though, I'm actually going to be expanding the zine a bit to include even more amazing art, which'll be like FEZZINE Part 2: The Expansion Pack or somethin. And I think I'd also like to do a Ghibli Jam-style collaboration where everyone can submit their FEZ art, and a few of them can make it into a printed version! Anyone up for that?

Hey so my good friend, Kevin, invited me to contribute to his Fezzine (a zine celebrating the wonderful independent game, FEZ) and I was super excited!

The only problem was that I'd never played the game. So I hurried on over to Steam, picked up a copy, and it's so thoroughly great!

My contribution plays off of the main game mechanic in the game: rotating the world around the protagonist to progress. The images are printed back-to-back so when you turn the page it's like you're rotating the world! Whooooooooa.

Once I get my hand on a copy (I'll keep you posted when more copies will be available since the first edition is already sold out) I'll snap a few photos.
