I’ve gotten a couple asks and just.. You can call me ridiculous all you want for being brash like this, but it’s my mental state first of all.
I have a very diverse family and well, Black Forest Cake was something my Great Grandmother made every year for Christmas, Easter, all sorts of events just for my mother to have since she loved it so much. Now, my Great Grandmother’s side is Polish/Slovak/German, and she had been mocked since she was very little for her German heritage. My family from back then actively tried to hide people and provide what we could away from what was happening in WWII, yet we continue to be mocked for our heritage, making it hard for us to even appreciate the smallest things of our German relation.
Many villains in FF are horrible. Even many Food souls you can summon are. I don’t condone any of those, but... with BFC in the mix now, it’s hard for me to stay around.
It feels like it’s mocking my recently deceased Babi, who I loved very much.
They took a dish that my family held dear and made it another example of why I hate where some of my family came from and part of who I am. That’s why I’m leaving.

Black Forest Cake is one of those people who has to have things organized Just So. The kind of person who has organized folders. If she ever eats, she has to make sure none of her food is overly mixing. I would have given a more dramatic headcanon but we're in dumb mundane thoughts today.
Dude I can see this. Like when she bakes, having the scales out and getting it to the hundredth decimal place. Everything has to be exact or she breaks down. Spill a drop too much of cherry wine? Feed the scraps to Bone Knight and start over. What takes an hour to do takes her three at most four.
She is still so uptight even Borscht or a laid back Black Pudding tries to help her get loosened up. Like trying to change her routine slightly, have her mix some of those folders together, anything to help her relax for once. This is a veteran girl who is too accustomed with orders.

Interesting fact I found: The cherry pom poms on the Bollenhut (the hat) are different colors depending on the village-woman's marital status. Unmarried woman wear red, married woman wear black, and widows only wear the silk mob cap that's underneath the Bollenhut.

It looks like either an Easter or April Fools kinda outfit. I'd kill for that bunny cap, it's adorable. I swear tho, that gun looks like a bedazzled pencil.
And I zoomed in close and I noticed she has little tears and stars on her cheeks. The attention to detail.
