Fran for the Six fanarts challenge

I can’t really use my computer at the moment, so I sat down and made some traditional art. It’s honestly been years since I’ve played ffxii, but Fran was always my favorite character~ It’s certainly different from digital inking, which I found out the hard way lol (I miss having my layers..), but it’s a nice experience at the least.

5 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

Reporter: Hello miss! We'd like to ask you a question!

Fran: Oh hello there.

Reporter: We are going around asking about feelings on Christmas and traditions you may be excited for this year. Forgive me, but you stood out as the only Viera here, so we wanted to talk to you before the night was over.

Fran: Makes sense. You want to gather opinions from different cultures and races. Those of us who may not believe in, or celebrate such a holiday.

Reporter: That's exactly right! So, are you looking forward to any celebrations?

Fran: But, of course I am. I live with the humes now. Balthier celebrates this holiday, so I will oblige.

Reporter: No one is making you take up this holiday as your own. What makes you go to the extent you do, to fit in, regarding this holiday and the celebration of it?

Fran: It's not a matter of "fitting in", as you would have it, but of duty to my surroundings. If I am to live with humes, I am to forsake my former self. This isn't about forcing myself to celebrate. Quite the opposite. This is who I am now. I chose to leave behind all previous notions of opposition to such a celebration, I chose to start over and be free.

Reporter: *In slight aww* That was...very powerful.

Fran: It is only me. *turns head with a bit of attitude, then walks away.

Today's lesson: Christmas always has it's accepting, loving and forgiving arms open to even those who have scorned it's very existence. No matter your past, and no matter your previous ideals, you can fully experience the joy of Christmas with acceptance in yourself. The Lord and the spirit of Christmas doesn't discriminate and will accept you into it's loving embrace, so long as you have confidence in yourself.

I almost forgot to share my ersa-flora eyes! The blue have a lovely metallic sheen. The Lavender ones are custom GITD Lavender resin eyes for my Drow, when he arrives. It's so cool, because they have this pretty blue reflection when the flash is on, but they're Lavender. Anyway, enjoy!
