Finnrey Short: How to Heal

“You sure it’s not too tight?” Finn asked yet again, tugging on Rey’s knee wrap. Rey couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes Finn, I’m good.” She moved her legs off the table to give her friend room to sit. “Thank you. You’ve really been taking good care of me since that battle.” “Well I had to.” Finn said, sitting down next to Rey. “I heard about how you stayed at my bedside all the way until they sent you off to find Luke after we faced Kylo.” Rey looked at the ground doing her best to restrain her smile. “Well of course. You protected me after all. I’m just glad you healed well.” Finn nodded and a thought popped in his head. “You know, they say there’s a trick to helping people recover.” Rey raised her eyebrow curious. “Yeah?” “Yeah.” Finn said, scooting closer to her. “They say when someone’s injured, you should kiss them to make them feel better.” “Hmmm. Just like I helped you heal?” Finn was taken aback. “You kissed me?” “Yeah. Just like this.” Rey leaned up and kissed Finn right in the center of his forehead. Finn grinned from ear to ear. “Thanks but I think I could’ve jumped right out of that coma with something more.” Rey chuckled. “Oh, so you’re saying you can heal my leg right now?” “Let’s see.” Finn leaned in and met Rey half way for a long lingering kiss. They held their lips together for a moment before parting only to bring them back together once more. Rey savored the taste for a moment longer before pulling back. “Much better.”
