...Was the Hunger devouring the Astral Plane? Was that what they saw? 

Does that mean it’s consuming the souls of everyone who ever died? Including Julia and Maureen and Hurley and Sloane and everyone from Raven’s Roost?

Also, here’s another thing.

The vision the Red Robe showed them in Lucas’s lab showed the Hunger devouring the planes one by one.

The Hunger is in the Astral Plane.

Pan didn’t respond to Merle.

That implies the Celestial Plane is already gone.
