Whenever I can, I visit your page to explore your Sim designs (my favorites are your aliens). Have you ever thought about—or do you have any future ideas for—creating a character inspired by the Abominable Snowman? I would love to see your version someday.

I've been seeing people saying on reddit that the anadius mirror site has been compromised/hacked, and that trying to download the DLC unlocker actually downloads a malware .exe file, but I'm not able to replicate that on my end... I'm not sure if they're at the wrong site, or if they have adblock off and are unknowingly clicking on an ad and not the actual download button, or what. I'm not discounting these reports completely, I'm just not having the same experience.

But just to be safe:

Use an adblocker always (for all sites, but especially ones where you're downloading things). I use ublock origin and it works great. 👍

If you're downloading anything, do it from the official site for that thing, and not a 3rd party website.

For this issue specifically, the DLC unlocker should be a .bat file, NOT an .exe file. Do not run any strange .exe files.

I like to think they're imaginary-friends-turned-real that came from the same toy line, like Raggedy Anne & Raggedy Andy. I'm still trying to figure out what I want their official names to be... 🤔

hi puppy! hope you’re having a good one :) 2 questions for you, if you don’t mind!

1. in your opinion, should I bite the bullet and download the color slider mod? I really think I’d only want it for skin details, so that I can control the transparency and layer stuff like makeup. is it worth it? and if I send someone a sim where I’ve messed with the transparency of said skin details, will that stick even if they don’t have the mod? or will it revert to default? (if you don’t know the answer to this that’s fine lol I can experiment, just in case you happen to know)

2. would you be okay sharing your editing process? in particular, do you use SRWE or go without? I love making lookbooks but struggle to get crisp screenshots, and SRWE and my laptop don’t like each other lol. but I’m also curious about the rest of your process because everything always looks so good!!

The color slider mod is a must-have for me because I'm constantly using it to adjust the opacity of skin details, but it DOES still do that annoying thing where it deletes custom eyebrow thumbnails, which kinda sucks. Personally I think it's worth it, though. (Especially when it comes to skin detail body blushes... I'm always using it to adjust the intensity of those because even the lightest swatches tend to make my Sims look sunburned. 💀 It's always funny to me when I'll go back and look at Sims I made before color slider, because they've all got HEAVY blush.)

Yes! You can share a Sim you used color slider on and the adjusted opacity will remain the same, even if they don't have the mod themselves. (I had to test this out for myself a while back because I had the exact same question and couldn't find an answer online. 😅)

Absolutely I can share. I don't use SRWE because my laptop doesn't like it either, so you're not alone there. :') It barely wants to run The Sims half the time lol. I have my game graphics set to the highest setting and that seems to work well enough for me honestly. My screenshots don't look so great if you blow them up, but that's not really a big concern for me.

I also use custom CAS lighting and custom in-game lighting 'cause I don't love the game's default lighting, plus GShade for screenshots. (ReShade works just as well, it just didn't run quite as well on my computer back when I first downloaded it, and by now I'm so used to GShade I just don't want to switch.) I think the presets I use most are Vanilla and Pixel Perfect, and I'll just tweak their settings a little bit if I want to change them.

I usually do a lil bit of editing afterward, too—I'll up the vibrancy, contrast, and sharpness, just to give 'em a little more pop. Photopea is a GREAT (free!!!) Photoshop alternative that I use all the time. Almost everything that works for Photoshop (brushes, actions, gradients, etc.) work the same for Photopea, so lots of resources there.
