Has there been any update as far as you're aware on the safety of the sims 4 updater? You made a post a while ago about how some people were talking about it being compromised, but how the DLC unlocker was working fine, but it's been a couple of months and I don't know where to find people talking about it

So from what I understand, there was a security breach on one or more of the file hosting sites themselves, so while the DLC unlocker site hadn't been hacked, some of the file hosting sites they'd uploaded to had been compromised. The download links I was using were fine (I want to say I used their MediaFire links?), so I'm not sure which one was the problem. That's what I was told, anyway. I haven't heard anything new about the incident, though.

But the unlocker is a .bat file, and the malware one was an .exe files, so as long as you aren't downloading and installing any .exe files, you should be good.

And to be clear it's not just the sims but other uploads to those hosting sites have nasty redirects disguised as the real things. So everyone should have their thinking caps on (and popup and redirect blockers on).

The sims unlocker and updater are super easy to see if they're false off the bat because of what you said, that they run bat files instead of exes!

Yes, that!! Anything uploaded to the affected sites is at risk (if it's still ongoing), so be vigilant regardless of what you're downloading!

when i shared my opinion about jellypaws on reddit some months ago everyone was against me and defending jellypaws, i’m still shocked how people got brainwashed, because i know for sure they are lying about their sick mum etc, and constant begging for money is ridiculous

Reddit can be a very fun website but it can also be kind of dogshit, and often you will find some of the stupidest people on earth with the most foul takes known to man. Take it with a grain of salt.

hi, with the stuff posted about jellypaws re: ai, i wanted to know if anyone has looked into lunoluma? they're posting a large volume of cc and mods for someone seemingly new to the community and some of the textures look kind of sus. is there a list of ai "creators" somewhere? i think someone had started a blog for it but it disappeared.

I've never heard of them before. 🤔 Someone who knows Blender would have to check out their stuff; sadly I do not know Blender like that. (My greatest shame.🥀) At least everything seems to be free though.

I can't really count being new and dropping content right out the gate as an AI tell, since a lot of people come over to The Sims from other games like Second Life where they were already making content.

Yeah there was a blog a while back that was supposed to look into this kinda stuff, but they quit and deleted it. Not sure why. Bummer though, because it would have been helpful for people who are trying to avoid downloading AI content.

Maybe someone with the knowledge/resources to do it will pick it back up at some point.

Honestly now im even more sus that the small stint of occult cc Jellypawss did was flinging my friends and I's cc into slop bots and telling it to change it a little bit

When it was called out before people just went 'nuh uh its not the same mesh' ....like yeah it wouldn't be at that point. (A friend tested that with an ea shirt, plopped in a mesh and told it to change a little thing and it did)

And the fact it was all so similar to 3 people who've had her blocked for so long, And when she normally doesnt make occult stuff or use alien models at all.

If she's doing it to script mods and only got caught cause the modders name was left in i have zero doubts that she is doing it to meshes, and telling it to 'make it similar'.

She's been stealing people's shit for ages, this most recent instance she was just extra blatant about it. Instead of taking people's ideas and feeding them into AI, now she's straight ripping whole chunks of other people's mods.

jellypaws is a thief and a grifter who brags about how much money she's scammed people out of; how anyone can still support her at this point is beyond me. 🤷
