@fabulanovariya i found it, i went looking for the discussion i had with a friend about that entire post-snow battle and the ACTUAL language used and the difference in translation. definitely has a certain different flavour to it, and for the most part i can actually understand a change in localisation to better fit preconceptions of a character (ESPECIALLY one like snow) - it totally works well in some cases! but yeesh, it’s a huge change in this case. i just think snow should actually get to be a little different and more laser-guided with his remarks, actually!
(this isn’t even getting into the changes in the text wrt The Big Thing Later. that’s a whole separate fuckin ballpark.)
He felt and saw her everywhere in Yusnaan’s vast Palace. At first, the flickers of her in mirrors and water made him believe he was dreaming. Too much Chaos infusions, not enough sleep. Hallucinations. But then he overheard his men talking about the rose-haired phantom they had seen reflected in the water of the fountain whenever he had been passing it and it jarred a memory of Hope’s last warning message. Beware the rose-haired phantom.
Snow swallowed and tightened his hand around Serah’s pendant. It wasn’t Lightning he was seeing in every reflective surface. It was Serah. Always with a face that he swore she would never wear long in life: devastatingly sad. Tears were always present on her cheeks in the time he forced himself to look at her, to confront the ghost haunting him.
But now, he wondered: was she really haunting him? If others could see her, was it a true haunting? It wasn’t as if she had risen from the grave just to torment him, right? That wasn’t Serah.
So, he made the decision. Tonight, he would try and talk to his rose-haired phantom. Despite Hope’s warning, he would engage with her. If it was his Serah...he wanted that chance.

Does anyone wanna rp i kinda miss it
I ended Final Fantasy Lightning Returns. After all the other games(XIII XIII-2), the hard plot, the terrible situations the protagonists suffered and how the holes of past games were filled the ending was the most amazing thing I saw in couple years in games. Final Fantasy XIII the story of Nova Crystallis is an Amazing Story.
1, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 22, 23, 31, 35, 41, 50, 55, 65, 73, 78 & 80 Have fun~ <3
1. Favorite game of the trilogy? Every game had its own special charms. Story-wise I gotta say I liked the first one the most, because the characters got to know and trust each other. The second one introduced lots of great new characters and it was a lot of awesome action and sceneries. Game-play-wise I loved Lightning Returns the most because daayum that battle system <3 And customizable clothes? I'm all in!
5.What was the funniest scene of the series? Woah, so much happened in these three games and I have to pick the funniest? Hm.. Well, one of the top funny scenes is probably in an ending of FFXIII-2 where Hope nags on Snow for him never changing.
6. What scene made you the happiest? Damn, there were so many scenes that made me happy. But ultimately it's the ending of Lightning Returns, because everyone finally (!) got their own happy end.
8. Favorite boss battle? Heh, every Caius Boss Battle ever. But mostly the one in Lightning Returns. It's always a nice challenge fighting him and it makes you feel very alive~
12. Who do you think is the most relatable character? I would say Hope. Honestly. But people - co-players and fans - showed me throughout the first game that apparently Hope was only a little, whiny brat for them. I can't understand that, but it happened. So the most relatable character after Hope in my opinion would be... Sazh. Yeah, Sazh.
13. Which three members are your favorite to have in your party in the first game, XIII? Fang - because she's an amazing damage dealer and a great, persistent Sentinel. Lightning - because she's fast and very balanced, the perfect party leader. And Hope. He excels at magic, so he learns the best Ravager abilities, he's great at buffing the party AND his AI for the Medic role is really good as well.
22. Which of Lightning's default outfits is your favorite? The one from the first game. Buuut the one she wears in the special ending of Lightning Returns is great as well!
23. How did you get into the series? I was 12. My dad got us internet at home. I used google news. I saw the first development pictures of FFXIII. Then one of the first trailers. A character called Lightning that kicks some huge amount of ass? They got me immediately.
31. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about Hope? Ooh, Hopey~ Okay. Favorite thing: He just doesn't give up. No matter what the odds, he always finds a way to be useful. Least favorite thing? Hm, he seems like the type of character that works himself half to death and forgets to eat and stuff. I think that was never really depicted clearly in the games, but I wouldn't like that, because I don't want Hope to take too little care of himself.
35. What's your favorite and least favorite thing about Noel? Favorite thing about Noel? His pants! No, just kidding. Probably that he values the lives of every single being greatly. (His pants are awesome, though.) And my least favorite thing about him is how he totally didn't care in Lightning Returns when he killed off a few people together with Lightning. I didn't understand that at all and I still don't.
41. If you could pick one character from this series to appear in Kingdom Hearts, who would you choose? Well, since I haven't really played Kingdom Hearts a lot it's difficult to choose. But I somehow feel like Fang and Vanille would make a nice appearance!
50. What moments in the game kept you glued to your controller? Oh, there's a lot, so be prepared for long time periods! In the first game, the whole part that started from Lightning and Hope separating from Vanille and Sazh until their arrival on Grand Pulse. ... For the other two games, to be completely honest, I was glued to the controller all. the. time.
55. Do you have any funny experiences or memories with any of the games? I've spent so much time with the games that I'm sure a lot has happened. But because of that it's also difficult to remember. But when showing the games to my girlfriend, I remember a few. I got myself the Collector's Edition of FFXIII-2 and that one comes with postcards of the characters. So before each gaming session we built up an altar with these cards. And when we played Lightning Returns together, we guessed the plot all the time. We were right a lot of times and at some point we had an incredibly awesome headcanon where we would meet the "real" Hope in the Dead Dunes. Man, it was such an amazing scene in our heads.
65. Did any moment make your jaw drop? Oh yeah! The whole ending of the second game had me gasping like hell. Caius, you crazy bastard. But, of course, also the moment where adult Hope makes his first appearance. A lot of weird noises in the room when that happened.
73. How did you react when Fang and Vanille sacrificed themselves to hold up Cocoon? I cried like a f*cking baby... And I cried again when they had their appearance in the second game.
78. After all of the events that took place in the series, which character do you think has the worst nightmares? Please wait while I go through all the characters... Well, seeing as the last ending was a really happy one, I guess the nightmares would soon stop for everyone. At least that's my headcanon and no one is allowed to destroy that one. But as for the time before the ultimate happy end... I think Sazh and Vanille had the worst. But Snow and Noel were also close behind, I guess. Man, everyone was so f*cked up in the third game.
80. In FFXIII-2, what was your favorite paradox ending? Ooh, the one where a certain someone gets apprehended and Noel ends up as Hope's bodyguard while Snow and Serah are off to their own (not really) honey-moon-adventure.
Thank you for your questions, Dongsaengie <3
