Recently purchased and played the Northern Duke game and I loved it! With Father's day coming soon I'm now curious with how the Duke and cast would react to the MC announing Duke is about to be a father soon because she's pregnant?

Note: This is in the event that MC + Duke do decide to have children. It is entirely possible for MC + Duke to decide NOT to have children as well.

Duke: Extremely excited + happy, until the panic settles in and he's about to baby-proof the entire manor until MC and others calm him down 🤡

Roy: Attempts to congratulate the news with wine and a feast, remembers that MC is pregnant, drinks her share of the wine too 🤣

Kal: Tears up at the news, is already prepared to go into the village and get the baby the best stuff ever (spoiler: it's a wooden sword 👋)

Cassandra: Jumps with joy, already prepared to order some maternity clothes, ready to make sure MC is at her best with both health and style 🥺

Zofia: Smiles, ready to make any preparations necessary, does enough research to objectively make sure everyone in the manor doesn't go too overboard with stuff 😂

Kid: Sobs, asks MC a bunch of questions like "what's their name gonna be" or "how are you doing? fine? not that I care-- HEY DON'T MOVE TOO FAST" 😩 Will be more worried about MC and the baby than MC and Duke, be prepared for ultra mother hen 🐔 Cat: Is curious why everyone is so happy, will cuddle in bed more often 🐱

I'm curious once the offical engagment between Duke and MC is announced how would Duke meeting his future in laws play out?

We don't really know much about the original villianess family or her relationship with them, but considering her father banished her to the North for an arraged marriage, when 3 other prospective brides died. This implies the villanesses father is more concerned about his daughter tarnishing the family's name and reputation than her safety or wellfair.

Lol the meeting would never happen 😂 Duke is already pretty angry at how they treated MC (well, the OG villainess) so he has no desire to meet them at all 👋

On that note, Duke also doesn't have any desires for MC to meet his father either, since he loathes him. For the second part of your ask, yes, the OG villainess' father AND mother only care about their family reputation, so they were willing to put their daughter at risk if it means to save face. It's common for nobility (in this setting and others, too) to care more about how they appear to the public than you know, being a loving parent. MC wouldn't even really care to meet them anyway, too, since they're not her actual parents/family, so all she needed to know is that they treated the OG villainess like shit and basically said "nope" 👋
