hi olivia! this isnt about you/anyone else in particular, just something that's been on my mind recently. i'm not sure if i'm just too touchy/close to the issue, but i've had a speech impediment all my life and the trend of saying things like "pwease" or "kithies" always feels mocking to me. i was bullied all through school for the way that i pronounce things and now people do it because they think its quirky and cute. i know the rpc has a lot more "important" issues, i just needed to say it

re: the 18+ convo— i rped on tumblr pretty much all through high school and really had a great experience in a group that was mainly people my age or a few years older and i would hate if people didn’t get to have that kind of experience bc i did make some great friends and enjoyed it a lot. but i feel like lately the rpc in general is a bit older than it used to be (or maybe that’s just my perception) so idk if it’s harder for people to find those groups around their age (1/2)

(2/2) and i do understand the 18+ thing even in rps where smut doesn’t happen or where only people 18+ are allowed to write it because i think the ooc dynamics can get a little weird when there’s such a range of ages (again even if it’s not necessarily in a toxic way, age gaps in friendships aren’t inherently bad it’s just that internet friendships are different from irl). idk what i’m really saying i just hope people can find writing partners around their age they can relate to
