Hear me out: The Crystal Maze meets Final Fantasy VII but Genesis Rhapsodos is the Maze Master. And it's very much based on the OG Richard O'Brien era of the show. So he's hosting while the rest of Shinra are being put through the games as a sort of team-building exercise.

The zones are Wutai Zone, Industrial Zone, Junon Zone and Cetra Zone. Junon Zone eventually gets replaced with Future Zone at some point.

Genesis occasionally just pulls out his guitar and plays 'excitement music' while the contestants are playing one of the games.

"This game has a two minute time limit, but there's also an automatic lock-in scenario. Make three wrong moves and you're locked in. Minerva forbid that happens to you!

He has such a dramatic strut while leading the contestants through the maze.

The Shinra exec team complains that the 'Industrial Zone' doesn't look industrial enough and Genesis has to quickly bullshit some reason as to why that is.

-Cait Sith gets locked in to one of the games- "Ye cannae do this to me!" and much to Genesis' chagrin, it's been decided that if Cait Sith triggers a lock-in, it doesn't cost a crystal to get him out.

This resulted in Cait Sith being barred from participating in auto lock-in games -- 'no more freebies'.

Genesis speed-recites Loveless during one of the three-minute games, much to the chagrin of Angeal who's trying to focus on the game that requires precision and focus.

Genesis: And the next contestant to take part in the next game is Zack! Zack: Whoo, finally! Genesis: It's a mental game. Zack: Awww.

The maze had to be totally redesigned at one point after Kunsel was caught with the solutions to all the games and was trying to distribute them to everyone.

Genesis occasionally bursts into song while going in between the zones of the maze.

"I know it's called the Crystal Dome and it's shaped like the crystalsbut why did you have to make the entry door so SMALL?" - Sephiroth after trying to squeeze through the doorway.

The prizes from the Crystal Dome included a full week's vacation, a years supply of Shinrabucks coffee among other things. Few ever won the bonuses and some suspected that this was rigged.

Sometimes the good guys don’t win against unstoppable odds. Yuffie Kisaragi and the last stand: before Traverse Town, there was the Planet, and before Sora, there was AVALANCHE.

My Opinion: Fanfic of epic proportions. It’s quite heartbreaking, really. The FF world is being drowned out by the Heartless- and it told that this happened in canon Kingdom Hearts, but I honestly never thought about how it went down. Great character relationships.

Summary: At the start of his journey with Jiraiya, Naruto is lost at sea. Found by Shinra, he makes his way into SOLDIER. But as the veil of valor falls from Shinra, Naruto sets off with Cloud and the rest to stop Sephiroth, and come to terms with who he’s become.
