I feel like there's a big difference between a relationship with Nico/Worick and Noctis/Prompto. Like they'd take completely different routes.

With Nicolas and Worick it'll be like you're dating each of them separately--it works for a while until it doesn't and they will make you choose.

Worick is pan as hell and he and Nicolas have definitely messed around when they were younger but lmao that's how Nicolas found out he was straight. He has no interest in being in a poly relationship with Worick, but one with him attached is okay? But like I said--only for a time.

Worick is a little (very) selfish so I can see him trying to take up more of your time than what's fair. Like crashing your lunches/dinners with Nicolas. Hanging all over you when he finds you two together. It drives Nicolas up the fucking wall. Of the two, I feel that Nicolas is the most likely to love you right. They're both deeply wounded people, but Nicolas' character arc so far has seen him softening at the edges and letting people in.

Worick loves you ... as much as someone like him can love anyone. Like oof he's actually pretty dark I'm sorry aaa. He's certainly very fond of you, but at the end of the day he's kinda too over the place, too embroiled in his own shit to really give himself to someone.

Nicolas is in love with you, falling slowly and then all at once. Once he realizes just how much he loves you, I don't see him wanting to share you with Worick or anyone else. He wants you to choose and he wants it to be him. Worick is like "haha wtf man there's enough to go around" and Nic's just like "not anymore fuck off"

Noctis/Prompto give you more of a true poly relationship--one in which are parties hold a lot of romantic love and affection for each other. In the beginning the three of you were always together, glued at the hip, and Gladio would be like "lol look at the lil lovebirds" and Noctis would be like "bitch we might be." Like for him, it's nothing weird. You're his two favorite people, and he loves you both a lot so why not??? Just be with you both??? When he picks up that you and Prompto are kinda falling into each other's orbits Noctis is so stoked, he's like "hey why don't we just all date??"

Prompto thinks it would be selfish of him to have two people, poor baby is bugging. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt or get jealous, he's okay with sitting on his feelings if it means saving his friendship with the two of you. Noctis is like "??? don't friendzone me, man."

It takes time and lots of reassurance, but Prompto comes around to the idea that the three of you can be together together and happy. He's very big on communication and laying everything out on the table from the start--he's so afraid of fucking it up. In time tho, he proves to be the most affectionate; when he finds his footing he falls in stride beautifully. He's lowkey the pivot point of the relationship you and Noctis both dote on him so much.

Noctis' rich ass spoils the hell out of both of you. His childhood was pretty lonely and empty what with his mom being well....dead....and his dad being so wrapped up in his duty as king. Being able to share himself, his life, like this with the two people he cherishes most makes him so so soft and happy. Not that you'd ever catch him waxing poetic about it--he def feels a way when ya'll aren't around tho, pls pay attention to him he's baby.

Yuna

Yuna loves to surprise you, especially when the two of you have been in a relationship for quite a long time. Sometimes, she brings you a bunch of flowers just to remind you that you’re still the most important person to her and that she’s still head over heels in love with you.

She doesn’t like being the centre of attention (which she usually is since she’s the one who defeated Sin once and for all), so she isn’t really much into PDA, also because she wants to keep you mostly out of the whole fuss that’s made about her. Of course she wouldn’t try to hide that she’s in a relationship with you but she definitely tries her best to shield you from reporters and people who are a bit too curious for her liking.

Sometimes, Yuna has trouble with falling asleep, mostly when she had a really eventful day and didn’t have the opportunity to calm down before going to bed. In moments like this it helps her to focus on your quiet breathing if you’re already asleep but occasionally she also asks you to tell her something, maybe something about your favorite childhood memory or a made-up story because listening to your voice never fails to soothe her nerves.

If the two of you get into an argument it’s usually Yuna who apologizes first. She hates being mad at people and therefore isn’t very resentful but she expects an apology from you too.

Rikku

Rikku is a ball of energy and can’t sit still for more than ten minutes which is why she always tries to convince you to do something. Spending a lazy day at home isn’t really her thing; she wants to go out and explore the world which can be a bit exhausting sometimes.

She peppers your face with kisses whenever there’s an opportunity to do so. She also likes to wake you up with kisses in the morning, especially since she’s usually an early riser and therefore often prepares breakfast for both of you when you’re still asleep.

Another thing about Rikku is that she doesn’t care about other peoples’ opinions at all. That’s why she doesn’t hesitate to pull you close and kiss you when you’re out in public but if you don’t feel comfortable with PDA she tries her best to change this habit because she doesn’t want you to feel embarrassed or uneasy. She still grabs your hand, swinging her arm back and forth, when you’re outside. It looks kinda silly but she really doesn’t care if others are giving you appraising looks.

When you first got together she was a bit unsure about telling you that she’s an Al Bhed because most people still think that they’re bad people. It made her fall in love with you even more when you told her that you don’t care about that. She even tries to teach you some basic Al Bhed if you’re interested in the language, and it’s actually one of the rare occasions where she doesn’t lose patience after a few minutes.

Paine

Paine can seem a bit cold and unapproachable sometimes but once you get into a relationship with her you realize pretty soon that she’s incredibly loyal and considerate. She’s the perfect example for the phrase “Tough on the outside, soft on the inside”, especially when it comes to you.

You’re one of the few people she opens up to. She’s still not very keen on talking about her past and the things that happened during the training for the Crimson Squad but she trusts you enough to tell you about it. She gets really quiet after a conversation like this, so you usually pull her into a tight hug and cradle her, maybe playing with her hair to distract her.

Since she likes to keep to herself Paine doesn’t really mind staying at home the whole day. In fact, she enjoys lounging around with you because it’s a nice change from her usual missions with the Gullwings, and it’s also a nice opportunity to spend some more time with you. She likes to hang around and watch movies but better be prepared for some snarky comments if something doesn’t make sense to her.

For special occasions, maybe your birthday or your anniversary, Paine likes to surprise you with some small gifts and a special date night. She can’t cook, even if her life depended on it, but she definitely won’t hesitate to take you to a nice restaurant or something like that.

Prompto headcanon: missing his s/o

-where do I even start

-basically everyone in the near vicinity is going to hear constant play-by-play updates of what you’re doing, as Prompto receives the information from you via text message

-messages you throughout the day just to let you know he’s thinking of you, tell you funny stories, ask how you’re doing. He doesn’t get pissed if it takes you a long time to reply, but he’ll definitely be checking his phone until you respond

-everything Prompto sees reminds him of you, no matter how unrelated it is

-sends you selfies and pictures of things he thinks you’ll like

-he’ll feel extremely guilty if it’s his own obligations that are keeping you apart, no matter how many times you reassure him that you understand. He’ll also worry that you’ll get tired of waiting for him

-if it’s your obligations that are the culprit, he’ll act super positive and understanding even though on the inside he’s like, “what the hell this sucks”

-likes to make plans with you for when you guys are finally able to be together again, half to reassure himself that you’ll still be around, half to make sure you also feel reassured as well, and half to give himself something to look forward to while he misses you so much

Wakka x reader – spending a day at the beach (HCs)

Wakka can’t sit still for more than ten minutes, so don’t expect a quiet and peaceful day at the beach with him. He’s really active and always wants to do something but if you want to lie around and relax he won’t force you to romp around with him.

He usually brings a blitzball with him, just in case he wants to practice a new move. Also, if you’re interested in blitzball Wakka will gladly teach you some basic techniques and help you improve them. Another thing he likes to do is just passing the blitzball back and forth for fun, either at the beach or in the water.

If you like building sandcastles Wakka will try his best to help you. The thing is: he doesn’t have the patience for things like that and he gets really frustrated if he can’t get it right at the first go, so you probably end up sitting thereon your own. He will admire the finished sandcastle though, especially since he apparently has zero talent for stuff like that.

Wakka makes sure that you don’t forget to use sunscreen. It can get pretty hot in Besaid and he doesn’t want you to get sunburned, so he reminds you to renew your sunblock regularly.

He definitely doesn’t hesitate to play in the water with you. Wakka is a manchild, especially when you spend a day at the beach together, so he will splash water into your face every so often and try to dip you under water. He also gives you piggyback rides which usually ends with him falling over when he gets hit by a wave.
