Umbra and Pryna Theory

Guys, I have a crazy theory: It always seemed logical that Umbra was somehow related to Noctis and Pryna was somehow related to Luna - that these are their totem spirits, guardians, or something like that. But what if they are associated with the Lucis Caelum and Nox Fleuret families themselves, and not specific people? Prina died in "Episode Ignis", let's say, not only because of Luna, but because Starscourge in Ravus's prosthesis had already begun to affect him, and he was slowly degrading, ceasing to be human, so Nox Fleuret family, in fact, ceased to exist. From this the question "Why, after the death of all the Lucis Caelum, including Noctis and Ardyn, did Umbra survive?" becomes even more interesting. :)

Noctis and Prompto are the most comfortable around each other , so during important meetings and events, both have to be placed on a gag order of not being around one another, else it will turn into the duo snickering and laughing or as Ignis once stated “Partake in school girl gossip”

Prompto shares social anxiety with Noctis on a huge level, but when the duo are together, Prompto’s anxiety is overridden to make sure that his friend is more comfortable than himself.

Gladiolus sleeps with a crazy amount of pillows, every year he some how gets more, but there’s never more than six on his bed at a time. No one has seen him throw one out, but can’t find the other ones. Iris assumes he eats them in his sleep.

Ignis prefers not to curse, he always believes that there are better ways to explain a situation or get your point across. Yet sometimes the only way to describe a person is to call them an “Asshole”

You can tell when Lunafreya gets tired because she will often repeat the same question, if she repeats it five times she’s no longer paying attention or taking in information and needs a nap.

Ravus likes cats and has many cats roam his office building to “assist with the mice”. Lunafreya once bought up the similarity between him and Noctis the only thing he could respond was “Even fools know something good when they find it”

Regis states that he has taken pride in only three defeats in his life, a sparing back between Clarus and Cor, and his heart to his wife Auela.

When Clarus was told the funfact about “Adults picking up their child for the final time before they became to big”, Clarus lifted his daughter up, and then proceeded to lift Gladiolus. He does this once a year to prove that he can and will always be there to support his children.

When Gladiolus got the scar across his eye, Iris, wanting to make her older brother felt better, loosen some of the threads in a few of his workout shirts, so that when he flexed in the mirror the seams popped, raising his self esteem.

Cor has been known to take in information when asleep, it horrifies everyone around him. The only time it doesn’t work is when he’s been awake for more than 48 hours.

Warning: This short story has mentions of the reader finding out someone close to them has been diagnosed with cancer.

Your eyes blinked slowly, staring beyond the wall to your side. Moisture still clinging to your lashes and your face a mixture of tear tracks and red blotches. It would be silent if not for your breathing and the soft ticking of a clock sitting somewhere in your room. The lights were off and every curtain was drawn, not allowing any light to enter the room. You weren't even sure how long you've been laying here. I could have been minutes, hours even. But it didn't matter. Not anymore.

Eventually, the sound of feet shuffling against carpet reached your ears. A soft knock sounding at the door. However, you couldn't find the strength in you to get up.

After a few moments, the door opened a bit. You heard your name being called out in question; Ignis' soft voice reaching your ears. "May I come in?"

At first, you couldn't reply but ultimately, you managed a small 'yes'. Your voice sounding hoarse and broken to your ears. The door creaked softly as it opened further before it was gently shut. It was a moment before you felt the bed behind you dip under the added weight. "Do you want to talk about it?" The silence extended longer this time. Nevertheless, you appreciated the fact that Ignis wasn't rushing or forcing you to talk. Eventually, you found your words, quietly explaining the phone call you had revived however long ago. It seems as though you hadn’t run out of tears yet, new droplets making their way down your face. As you finished your explanation your vice trailed off, flinching slightly when Ignis placed a comforting hand on your shoulder.

“I’m so sorry you have to go through this.” You couldn’t verbally respond, so you gave a small nod of your head. “Do you want the others to know?” Another pause before you nodded your head once more. “Do you want to inform them, or would you rather I?”

“....could you?”

“Of course. I shall return shortly.” Your eyes didn’t budge from their place on the wall as you felt the weight behind you vanish. The door softly opens before shutting.

Once more you were left in the dark room with your dark thoughts. The tears hadn’t stopped yet. Not sure what else to do you burrowed deeper into your bed; blankets pulled up until nothing but your teary eyes remained. It couldn’t have been long before there were more light knocks at your door before it was pushed open and the sound of multiple feet shuffled in. You could make out the muffled sound of Prompto calling your name.

“Is it okay if we lay down with you?” From the wobble in his voice, you could tell he was holding off tears of his own. You managed another nod of your head and it was but a short second before two bodies climbed onto the bed with you. Prompto climbing in front of you, opening his arms for you if you wished for physical contact, which you swiftly accepted. His arms wrapped tightly around you while you buried your face into his shoulder. Another pair of arms wrapped around you and Prompto from behind, immediately knowing it was Noctis. The pair held you until your tears finally began to slow.

More footsteps approached you three of you. Your head lifting from Prom’s, now soaked, shoulder to watch as Ignis placed a mug and a small plate of food on your nightstand. Your gaze shifted as you felt more weight being placed on top of you, only to find Gladio placing your weighted blanket over the three of you. It wasn’t long before both of them also join you on the bed. You were all silent for a while before Noctis finally spoke up.

“We’re sorry you have to go through this… it’s never easy to find out someone you’re close to has been diagnosed with cancer.” As if trigged just by the word, you chewed on your bottom lip as tears began to weld up in your eyes. “We know your hurting, and you have every right to be upset.”

Gladio spoke somewhere behind Noct. “We’re here for you though.”

“Anything you need, we’ll do our best to provide,” Ignis added on.

“No matter what happens. We’ll always be here for whatever you need. Even if it’s just some company.” Your head shifting with each of Prompto’s words.

Noctis’ arms tightened around you in a reassuring squeeze. “We can’t promise that everything will be okay, but we’ll do our best to help you through this. You’re not alone.”

Your body shook with hardly contained sobs. They had no idea how much their words meant to you. Hiding you face deeper in Prompto’s chest as you tried to pull yourself back together. But even if you couldn’t do that now, it was fine. After all, you had some of the best friends in the world supporting you. They would be beside you no matter the outcome.

“Thank you.”

Chocobros favourite braids (Headcanon)

Noctis

You have to explain to him that each braid has a different name and technique.

He didn't know that there are so many types of braids, like... some of them look so difficult. How are you able to do that??

He spent a long time learning to name and recognize each hairstyle.

Noctis favourite are surely the boxer braids.

They look cool with every type of hair for him.

He's weak everytime his s/o came to training with perfectly made boxer braids.

Prompto

He may be a surprisingly connoisseur regarding braiding.

In a theoric way, at least.

He has a Pinterest board where he saves his favourites and watches tutorials.

Both for men and women.

Even if he never tried to do it himself he can give his s/o many useful tips that even them didn't know.

Excited when his s/o gets ready for going out and they asked him to help with the hair. He's a pro with bobby pins, they perfectly stay in, invisible. And no wild bangs.

Prompto absolutely adores half up crown braids.

I mean you are the ruler of his heart and you deserve a crown as cute as you.

He bought you a ton of hair accessories, but the winners for Prompto are always flowers. He likes to put them in your braids and it almost embarassed you how much your boyfriend compliments your cuteness.

Gladiolus

Having a little sister made Gladio an expert in doing braids.

Not only for Iris, but even for himself. His men braids have catched the attention of the Glaives from Gahalad, mostly because he looks dashing as hell.

Noctis jokes that his hair are causing a dangerous mass distraction.

He doesn't wear braids often, though.

However he encourages you to try differents styles.

Always here to help if you find it difficult. Despite the size of his hands he's very delicate with your hair.

Probably the best out of the four in braiding (don't ask Noctis if you want to avoid horribles tangles).

Gladio favours a classic french braid.

It's elegant in every occasion and once you got the skill it's easy enough to achieve.

The one who lighlty pulls your braid asking for a kiss after you beat the hell out of Noctis during training. You're sweaty? Who cares.

If the kiss became heated enough he may pull at your hair a little more.

Noct thinks you guys are gross.

Ignis

Despite his love for precision and symmetry Ignis likes loose braids the most.

There's something endearing in a softer and messy braid.

You don't have to look perfect and the natural and casual result it's incredibly beautiful.

He's fascinated when you pull at your braids (teasing them) withouth ruining the style.

For him there's nothing better than a fishtail braid.

It's one of the easiest but the pattern is gorgeous for Ignis.

Waterfall braids are another big yes. But just on one side of the head.

Ignis makes some research on what kind of oil or other products you can use for braiding easily and not damaging your hair.

In a way or another your hair have never been more healty and shiny than now.

The clear elastics Ignis bought for you can resist literal years. Magic? You think so.

Him picking you up at the exact time he said he would, maybe with some flowers

Wearing dressy dark jeans and a smedium Henley that really is probs too small

But it looks great on him so who’s complaining?

Not you.

Impressing the heck out of your parents because he’s kind and charming

-And tall as heck like what in Eos?

The perfect weather for the date---that he jokingly takes credit for

Perfect gentleman: opens doors for you, pulls out your chair, etc.---the whole nine yards

You go out to the street market and try out some of the foods from other parts of Lucis

If you see a piece of jewelry you like, he’ll quietly vanish for a few minutes while you’re talking to a different vendor and return to present it to you

Playful, charming flirting the entire time

Again, not complaining

When not flirting though, he’s smart and sweet and seems to know everything about the city---he’ll tell you bits of trivia about the architecture and history of a building or why the street market is always held on this particular road

He’ll also talk books

But mostly asks you questions about yourself

If some rando tries to hit on you (like a shop vendor or another market patron), all he does is just glare at them over your shoulder till they back off

He knows ALL the sights in Insomnia, so when the sun starts going down the two of you take a walk to a park

There’s a small little stream flowing through the park with a bridge

That’s where you watch the sunset

It’s gorgeous

So is he

At the end of the night, he’ll take you home right on time---okay, maaaybe a few minutes late but shh he won’t tell if you won’t---and kiss your hand
