Hey Guys!

I've been slipping on taking care of myself lately, in all aspects of my lifestyle. I decided to get back on track with my eating first so I made a homemade hummus with chick peas, sriracha and paprika. (Recipe will be given upon request). It was so good, and it's such a healthy snack to have when you're really hungry! I challenge you to create a new healthy snack of your own, or reinvent an existing one with your own twist. Hello all, This is Day 4 of consecutive pool days and I haven't been so happy in my life. Swimming has always been one of my favorite ways to exercise, because it doesn't even feel like working out. I'm proud of myself for getting outside for more than just a short gob of hours for 4 straight days when I couldve been stowed away inside watching The X Files. I encourage all of you to celebrate a personal health/fitness victory with me! Drop what it is in our ask box, we want to hear from you! 🎉 -H🎈💗

H and I took advantage of the great weather we had yesterday and went for a swim! Got a little bit of sunburn but it was worth it! We dragged each other around the pool by a pool noodle and that served as cardio and muscle strengthening 😂 Overall, it was a great day that ended in a quick trip to the mall, I mean who doesn't love shopping?? 😃 Exercise can be fun! Grab some friends and go swimming- come up with random fun games that get you moving, but don't forget the sunscreen! XOXO -L ✌🏻🏊🏼☀️

Minor Change = Big Impact

On Thursday, I was coming home from working a 4 hour shift in a retail store (it was inventory day so it was hell- my fellow retail workers can attest to this) and I was hungry and ready for lunch. I typically stop somewhere on my way home like McDonald's or Wendy's to grab a quick bite, but this day was different. I decided that if I truly want to change my body, I actually need to make changes to my day to day routine. I drove right past the many different fast food places that I love on my drive and opted to make a nice lean turkey sandwich on wheat bread when I got home. Instead of bogging myself down with greasy fast food, I ate the sandwich and felt pretty great afterwords! This was one of the first times I actually put my goal of getting healthy into action. It may seem small but it truly had a big impact on me and I can't wait to continue switching toxic foods for a cleaner, healthier way of eating! I challenge you all to switch out one of your guilty pleasures for a healthy alternative this weekend! Send us a message telling us about your victory!
