Pierre Gasly picked Charles Leclerc. He picked Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc for his five-a-side football team because (and I quote) "he's my best mate."
He literally knows Charles is hopeless when it comes to football and he still picked him. He still picked him because he's HIS BEST MATE!!!!!
Do you understand how emotional that makes me!!! Imagine putting winning aside and adding potential loss in your cards because you wanna play with your best mate because biiiitch that so wouldn't be me but that's Pierre and that's Pierre's friendship with Charles and I'm so in love with their friendship don't even touch me.
No wonder he wasn't all that mad when Charles crashed into him and screwed up his race at the Styrian GP compared to how snide he gets when anyone else crashes into him. Charles Leclerc has special privileges in Pierre's heart not granted to the rest of the mortal world apparently.
