The words rang true, even now that he sat at a Brooklyn coffee shop, waiting for Steve. It wasn’t a school yard or a battlefield, unless you counted them finding another new road in their friendship as just that.

Post snap. Post Thanos. Post.. everything. Now life was just life and the world moved on as best it could. And he and Steve could try to do ‘normal’ things together. Like this. Getting coffee on a Saturday morning. When was the last time they got coffee together? 1944?

As he stared up at the Brooklyn skyline, Bucky mused about how much had changed and hoped maybe Steve still took his coffee black.
