Vintage photo! Yeah it looks 1980s but no, it's 2022. For 100+ years, we had only white casts and wooden crutches. The only thing that would make this perfect is if this cast had been plaster. I asked my doc earlier this year when I broke that foot again if plaster is ever used. Yes, he said it is but not often.
