Fibromyalgia is a Chronic Condition
💀 The Creepiest Fibroblast You Will Ever See 💀
With a nucleus straight from the fiery depths of hell*
i💀histo
*Note: Fibroblasts do not come from hell. They are actually derived from embryonic mesoderm and the creepiest thing they do is secrete the collagen and ground substance of connective tissue. Not very creepy at all really when you think about it.
Histology is from the microscope of the ‘fiancee of ned4spd8834’
Something funny (no) to know about fibromyalgia
When you talk to people about fibro, they usually know it has to with pain (there is literally "algia" in the name, that helps) so, if you take less pain killers for a time, they assume you're feeling better and so you're somewhat required to do stuff as abled people do. And t drives me nuts.
First of all, fibromyalgia is not all about pain. Sorry people, it would be so fucking "easier" if it was "just" the pain. Want to know something fun? There is a hundred symptoms of fibromyalgia! A FRICKING HUNDRED!
So, yes, there is the chronic pain, who's a bitch, but we know her, she's not (for me) the scariest part of this illness.
Make your choice:
Chronic fatigue
Insomnia (as in really poor quality sleep or no sleep at all)
Fibro fog
Memory loss (and years of painkillers won't help, I can testify)
Depression
Anxiety
Clumsiness (because when you have spasms muscles pretty much everyday and for no reason, chances are you're gonna drop stuff, run into stuff and bump into stuff)
Restless leg syndrome (so people can find you extra annoying)
Stiffness
Headaches
Jaw pains (in my case it dislocks everytime I open my mouth a bit too much or bite into something "too hard" like two days bread)
Tinnitus (because why not having your ears rings for no fucking reasons...)
And other stuff, you can find them easily online.
So, you see, when we feel a little pain, we're not "fine".
And, BTW, we don't take painkillers to make the pain go away, we do it to make it manageable and do stuff, otherwise we'd be high as kite all day everyday.
Please, be kind to my fellow fibrowarriors and other people with chronic illness / fatigue, everyday is a battle for us.
