With Bkg losing his hearing, will any of them learn sign or will he just fully rely on his hearing aids? (Also thank you for the Shinkami and Denki crumbs in the most recent chapter💜💛)

I plan to bring sign up, but a bit later on. I love deaf/hoh Bakugo. I usually like to write him as having most of his hearing loss pre-UA and already knowing sign (I have a couple WIPs that never saw the light of day that used that concept), but in this case since it’s after the war, he struggles a bit to accept he needs to learn an alternative form of communication for when he has his hearing aids out (charging, getting overstimulated, etc). He already has new changes going on with his arm and heart, so at first it feels a bit like defeat to him.

Once he realizes he genuinely should learn, he does. Especially since other people (👀❤️💚👀) are willing to learn with him. Maybe they even make a bit of a challenge out of it.

And I’m glad you liked the Shinkami crumbs! I have more sprinkles of them and Denki in general later on :)

How much of Izuku’s arm did he lose? Like it said his hand and a bit of his forearm, but how /much/ of his forearm, if that makes sense?

I am not far into the manga, so I apologize if this clashes with canon, but in my fic, his left hand would’ve been the first to touch Tomura, and as a result when rewinding, he was left with his left hand and about 4-5” (10.1-12.7cm) of his forearm missing if that makes sense. They probably would’ve had to take a bit more off to make it clean and actually in a state a prosthetic could be attached, since depending on how decay would’ve left him, it might not have been able to close around the bone properly. So I’d say at most he’s missing 6” (15.25cm) + his hand. He’d have about 4” (10.1cm) between that point and his elbow (I’m using my own arm for reference, since I’m only 2” (5.1cm) shorter than his canon height)

The missing part will be replaced with a mechanical prosthesis. They’re 200 so years in the future, so I will be taking some creative liberties with how it works, especially since so many incredible prosthetics already exist. Still, he won’t just nail using it on the first go. Even if he isn’t the main character of the fic, I intend to show him and Katsuki both working hard at using their arms again.

Do Kiri’s moms have names or will they just be referred to as mom and mama the whole time?

They do! It’s just been harder to naturally include it in dialogue in the story so far. There’s a chapter later where some of Ei’s family is around that it comes up in the story, but I’ll share them now.

His mom’s name is Reika and his mama’s name is Kiyoko (Accidental Haikyuu reference. I started watching it after I had the name picked out and had to do a double take lol). While I’m at it, the aunt and uncle he brings up a lot are his Auntie Kenji and Uncle Yoshiki.

This website is really great for finding names with meanings you want. I can’t remember the meanings off the top of my head, and I had a hard time finding the ones I used since the same name can have so many variations with different meanings.

Have you thought about Eiko’s sperm donor’s *gags* quirk at all? If so, will she end up with his or Eijiro’s or a mix of the two?

I have two different quirks for ykw in mind, it’ll come down to which of the two works best for plot reasons. As for Eiko, I won’t reveal the answer yet, as it’ll come up later. Thanks for the question! :)
