🌿 New Fic Alert! 🌿

I’m so excited to finally share the first part of my 5-part Drarry saga:

“The space between” — the beginning of A Hero Is Defined Not by Power—(But by Who They’d Lose).

I haven’t published anything in a while, nor written fiction (except papers, lol), but as I was finishing my PhD, I found myself revisiting Drarry as comfort reading—it helped me get through some of the hardest parts, and it gave me so much inspiration.

I haven’t been back to this ship in a long time… but oh, how much I love them.

I hope this story can bring a little of that enjoyment to others (even if agnsty, because I love angst, but I promise a happy ending).

This has been greatly inspired by all the incredible fics I have been reading this past months (I will surely make a post about it in a close future) and I am still reading, as well as @viria incredible art.

Summary:

The war is over, but peace feels fragile. Harry and Draco are finding their way in a world that’s supposed to be rebuilding… but some wounds, and some bonds, don’t heal easily.

This first part focuses on life returning to “normal” after the war, friendship, grief, and the subtle tension that will grow over the years. Drarry is teased, and the slow-burn journey has only just begun.

Now that I officially think Dec is hot PERHAPS I can write some world cup Dec & Ivan Toney this summer...There's a 1% chance considering I haven't been able to publish a single fic in 2026, but hey at least it's no longer a 0% chance lol.

Though I'd have to do a LOT of research to be able to write how they talk, lol.

2025 round up

This was a weird year!!! I was on tumblr far less because the Real World has been exhausting me to such an extent that I just read a lot of books instead. Not in a snooty intellectual™️ way--most were domestic thrillers 😂--but my brain just wanted to use a different part of itself instead of Being on a Screen. (But not that being on a screen is bad. It isn't necessarily! I hate when people make a huge deal about how they need to Be Offline bc the internet is evil. Man...just log off then). Work has been draining and I had been fortunate enough to forget what this felt like. We switched to a much more stable source of federal government funding, which is a very lucky thing in These Times, but it's required a lot more accountability and weird bureaucratic things that keep changing out of nowhere. Still, I am very fortunate and ought not complain too much about it. I'm just easily overstimulated 😂

I had a great spring/summer of consistency and success with executive function and managed to have a pretty good fall mood-wise. Only on this most wretched period of time of the year has the Bad appeared. Because of this I got to listen to a lot more music this fall and am super behind on my podcasts!

I also published something for the Other Fandom™️ I'd been working on since 2019, and wrote a private piece for the lad called The man with no face about Christine which I did not make public because it commits various Sins: 1) written from a younger person's perspective 2) Exploiting a Tragic Situation 3) Second-Person POV. It had a fuck of a last line if I do say so myself!

The valentines day one!!

So this one I started last year and maybe I should try to finish it for this valentine's day. If only I was in the headspace for being able to write gross porn (I certainly want to read it).

But, it takes place last February so Frank's first Valentine's Day away from home in many years since he's at Cov now. And, me and ao3 user Trash have this headcanon that the events of Irish cream pie have never totally stopped. John and Christine will wind up having weird high hatesex from time to time. That Frank loves to know about, or tells John to do, for many reasons, and that John loves because he's gross (affectionate) but also it gets him closer to Lampsy...

Soooo John is with Toni on Valentine's Day and then he's like I better uhhhhh go and check on Frank's missus she must be lonely, and Toni says some judgmental stuff about Christine (the headcanon also is that Toni isn't a fan of her--kind of thinks of her as stuck-up and a prude). John goes over there with some coke and is Unkind to Christine and they kinda like slap each other around and dubcon follows (or is it really dubcon since the headcanon is also that Christine likes being Mistreated sexually for various reasons) and then John winds up facetiming Frank to watch and just thinks gay thoughts about him the whole time.

“Won’t make you wash a cup on Valentine’s Day, that wouldn’t be proper of me,” John says, and takes a swig from the bottle, which is wet and warm from Christine’s spit and the rim tastes like lipstick.  “Ain’t that sweet Mrs Lamps?  My lips just where yours were, it’s like we’re kissing.” “I’d never kiss you, would I?  I’ve got taste.  Look who I married.” She’s right about that part—look who she married.  John does look.  Every day.

Definitely Goldilocks and the Three Fucking Lions

LOL! okay, so this is just a tiny thing I've written that I don't know how to turn into a proper fic. It just could easily turn into a copy of many other things I've written so I want to wait till I figure out how to Not do that.

But, it's about Frank and his new favorite Cov twink Jack Rudoni who seems like a very fascinating person, and he's comparing them to past player crushes Mason and Anthony Gordon and he's like (excuse the clunky writing this is like, not even first draft status yet, just me flinging words on a page)

With Jack there was never a period of naivete (Mason) or sluttiness (Anthony.) He was a natural, neither titillated by a dalliance with such an authority figure, nor putting too much importance on it.  What was this, Goldilocks and the Three Fucking Lions?  Maybe Jack's meant to be his just right.
