#5: Make Me Feel (you know me): Illario Summer Appreciation Week 2025
A collection of oneshots written for Illario Summer Appreciation Week 2025.
I love this collection because I really got to develop Illario and Lucanis's relationship in it. I went into their pasts a lot, figuring out who they were to one another before everything went so very wrong. And that helped me figure out how they could possibly make their way back to one another.
#4: Feel the Rush (teach me how): DA Kiss Week 2025
A collection of oneshots for Dragon Age Kiss Week 2025, featuring our favorite Dellamortes and their favorite Veil Jumpers!
I love this for basically the same reason as #5 – I got to explore Lucanis's first kiss! I also explored a little into the future of the series, getting to see Illario and Bellara in their established relationship. It was just a ton of fun.
#3: Know You Will (fight for me)
The Dellamorte wedding is the event of the season, and Illario finds himself very busy keeping the bride and groom oblivious to the Crows lurking in the shadows.
This one was such a trip to write. I thought I had a clear vision, but the more I wrote the more kept coming and it just felt so out of my control. Very Illario of it, honestly. But, people seemed to really enjoy it! And, it left me a little window of plot I might be able to explore in 2026.
It's also just pure fun, tbh. I'm very fond of this one.
#2: Yours to Tame (crave your taste)
Life after the battle of Minrathous is... different. While the world celebrates and starts to rebuild, Embria struggles to find her place in Treviso, and Lucanis reluctantly settles back into life with the Crows. Together, they've survived impossible odds time and again, surely they can survive Villa Dellamorte... right?
Meanwhile, Illario finds himself at a crossroads. He'll never be First Talon, not now that he's the Traitor Crow. So, what comes next for the pariah assassin? When Bellara Lutare, feeling like a pariah herself since she's been blighted by Elgar'nan, becomes a guest at the Villa, Illario thinks he might know just where to start.
Through all of this, can the Dellamorte brothers cousins repair their relationship, or will Caterina only drive the wedge further?
This fic became so much more than I could have ever imagined. Writing Rook settling into Villa Dellamorte was actually my first impulse after finishing Veilguard – the scene where Caterina tells Lucanis to end things with Embria was actually the first scene I ever wrote for Veilguard. And it was immediately apparent to me that I wasn't ready to write that yet. So, I went back to the beginning and laid out the foundation for the series, writing Say My Name (say it twice).
All so I could write THIS fic. I love it so much, I love how it stretched me into new territory (casual sex??? Me???? le gasp!) and how I got to explore Bellario and fall madly in love with them. I will always love this fic.
#1: I Have You (you have me)
The first Arlathvhen since the Battle of Minrathous is happening in Arlathan. Despite recently having their first child, and Lucanis's disapproval, Embria is determined to go.
This was the last fic I wrote for Embria and Lucanis (even though it wasn't the last of the series). This is my farewell to them, and I think it shows in almost every line. You want emotion? It's here, waiting for you.
I poured myself into this fic in a way only possible for goodbyes. I broke my own heart and stitched it back together with these words. I love it. I re-read it often. I cry every time.
I just love them, your honor. And I think this fic is my thesis on that love.
